Bar soaps from Baobab: at left, Manhattan (purple; "The notes of cypress, lavender and papyrus are masculine pairings that offer a very pleasant afterglow on the skin") and Paris (pink; "Notes of wisteria, mimosa and linden accentuate this formula’s freshness while leaving a very pleasant trace on the skin) and at right, Saint Tropez ("...its aromatic scent of thyme, basil and mint leaves an extremely fresh sensation"). $30 each for 150g or $60 for a gift box of two soaps, at Baobab.

More Roger & Gallet soaps, this time, done up as mixed trios in a tin. Shown is the Pop Orange set, with 100g soaps in Red Ginger, Neroli and Carnation Mignardise. There are also trios in Pink Love (Rose, Feuille de Thé and Rose Thé), Flower Power (Fleur de Figuier, Fleur d'Osmanthus and Royal Lavender) and Fresh Wood (Bois d'Orange, Cédrat and Bois de Santal). At Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada, $25 (sorry, not sure if that is USD or CAD).

It’s late July, so it must be time for our annual shower census….do tell us about the scented products in your bath or shower! How many scented shower gels and/or bar soaps are in your shower right now? And do tell us the names / products. If you have any great scented products in other categories (hair care?) tell us about those too.

Or, as always, just talk about something else.

After complaining last year that I had only bought one new shower gel all year, I went a little overboard. I currently have 11 (too many to keep in the shower, so they get rotated in and out of a small cabinet next to the shower). Oldies in the mix: Lush Sticky Dates, Lush Mimosa (almost gone), Lush Happy Hippy, Lush Posh Chocolate, Lush Rose Jam, Shikai Yuzu…
