The Accademia del Profumo in Italy has announced the winners of their 19th annual perfume awards:

Best Women's Fragrance: Prada Infusion d'Iris

Best Men's Fragrance: Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Pour Homme

Fifi Award Logo 2008 The Fragrance Foundation has launched mini-sites for this year's Fifi Awards at three social networking sites: Facebook, Iqons and Myspace. These sites will host "exclusive content" and allow consumers to vote on the best fragrance once the finalists have been chosen on April 25. There's even a Fifi awards widget, should you need one. The Fragrance Foundation of France has announced the winners of the 2008 Grand Prix du Parfum, the French version of the Fifi Awards. And the winners are:

Fifi Awards Semi-finalists 2008

Fifi Award statue The Fragrance Foundation has announced the semi-finalists for the 2008 Fifi Awards, known as the “Oscars of the fragrance industry”. Note that some categories show more than 10 fragrances because of tied votes, and unisex fragrances can appear in more than one category. The distinction between the categories “nouveau niche” and “luxe” is simply in how widely distributed the fragrances are (it has nothing to do with price or any other factor).

Each category will be whittled down to 5 fragrances at the Fifi Finalists Breakfast on April 25th; the final awards will be presented in May. The award statue is shown at right. And the finalists are:
