The 2008 fragrance awards season ~ the big winners

Marc Jacobs DaisyThe 2008 fragrance awards season is over, and we have a winner: Marc Jacobs Daisy, by a landslide. Daisy took a grand total of 7 awards for best fragrance, including Fifi (or equivalent) awards from the US, the UK and France, plus nods from the Canadian Fragrance Awards, Cosmetic Executive Women (US & UK) and Cosmetique magazine. I think it's those chirpy little daisies on the bottle. Who doesn't love chirpy rubber daisies?

The runner-up: Prada Infusion d'Iris, which took 4 awards for best fragrance…

Jennifer Jambon wins Prix International du Parfumeur Createur

Perfumer Jennifer JambonJennifer Jambon of Carlos Cramer Productos Aromáticos in Santiago, Chile, has won the Prix International du Parfumeur Createur 2008, a prize reserved for young perfumers (under the age of 35) and awarded by the Société Française des Parfumeurs.

This year's entrants were asked to create a fragrance inspired by a quote from Henri Bosco’s Le Mas Théotime:

Fifi Award Winners 2008

The Fragrance Foundation of the United States has announced the winners of the 2008 Fifi Awards, known as the “Oscars of the fragrance industry”. The award ceremony was held this evening at the Park Avenue Armory in New York City; award presenters included Bernadette Peters and Zac Posen. This year's Hall of Fame Awards went to Vera Wang and Annick Goutal Eau d'Hadrien. And the winners are:
