Diptyque’s holiday collection for 2025 will launch next week. The brand will apparently dispense with the usual trio of limited edition fragranced candles and focus on Sapin, the pine tree fragrance, in a collection called A Night of Wax and Gold. There are 3 sizes of the Sapin candle (the gold glass version in 70g for €44 or 190g for €74; or a gold speckled ceramic, shown below the jump, in 1.5k for €350)…
If you almost succumbed to Diptyque's Valentine's Day candle duo last year, the prettier packaging this year might send you over the edge: "A harmony of flowers and leaves. Diptyque’s holiday collection for 2024 once again features three candles. This year's decoration features felt labels by British artist Lucy Sparrow. Friandise ("The gourmand scent of the Friandise candle within is a mouth-watering delight sharpened by spicy notes, filling your home with gingerbread, cinnamon and candied orange peel"), Étoile ("...floral and velvety, lighting up your home just as stars illuminate the deepest blue of the night sky") and Sapin ("...fresh pine needles and resin, prolonging the scent of Christmas with every burn") are available now at Harrods in the UK, £120 for 3 x 70g or £68 for 190g.
From Diptyque's new L'Eau Papier collection, limited edition candles in Papier ("velvety musks mingle with sesame and heliotrope in an ode to this much-loved material") and Encre ("depth of patchouli meets the dense texture of black liquorice in an evocation of ink"). $74 each for 190g.
From Diptyque's collaboration with Café Verlet in Paris, four limited edition candles illustrated by artist Clym Evernden: Café, Biscuit, Chantilly and Fruits Confits. The 190g candles are $78; a coffret of Café, Biscuit and Chantilly in 70g is $135. (There is also a candle lid decorated with a coffee bean for $115 and a porcelain trinket tray for $87.)
