From the Lush collaboration with the movie How To Train Your Dragon, Monstrous Nightmare shower gel: "Only the best Vikings will go after this powerful cleanse. How To Train Your Dragon x Lush have forged two striking gels and then marbled them together to create this fiery, cinnamon and clove scented spectacle. The soft skin you’re searching for isn’t out there, it’s in this shower gel with a soothing, hydrating base of carrageenan and fair trade organic aloe vera gel." Unfortunately it appears to have glitter, in case that bothers you, but I will try to smell it anyway. In 3 sizes, $14.50 - $46.

It’s Friday and the 81st anniversary of D-Day. Eid Mubarak! Birthdays: Diego Velázquez, Alexander Pushkin, Thomas Mann, Marian Wright Edelman. More bandwidth for experimentation

Frank Voelkl, a principal perfumer at DSM-Firmenich and veteran nose, believes AI can be a foundational instrument. ‘When used thoughtfully, AI is an ally, not a replacement,’ he says, noting it can manage onerous tasks like juggling complex datasets, consumer preferences, raw material availability, and ingredient interactions – enabling more efficient and precise formulation. And for perfumers, more bandwidth for experimentation.
