Christian Dior has launched Cuir Saddle, the latest addition to their upscale La Collection Privée Christian Dior fragrance series.
Imagined by Francis Kurkdjian as a soft and sensual leather, Cuir Saddle disrupts the codes of the leather accord in perfumery, echoing the Dior It bag that reinterpreted leather in the 2000s.
This fragrance for women and men reveals luminous facets of white flowers, elevated by light woods.
Soft and sensual, it melts into the skin in an organic and intimate embrace. Like the Saddle bag, the fragrance becomes an extension of the body—a trompe-l’œil leather, worn like a second skin.
Far from the raw, smoky nuances of the traditional leather accord, Cuir Saddle evokes an organic leather that becomes one with your skin.
“The Saddle bag is an extension of the body. You slip it under your arm and it becomes one with your body. I took my inspiration from the feeling of leather on skin, fused with the skin, caressing the skin.” — Francis Kurkdjian, Perfume Creative Director
Christian Dior Cuir Saddle is available in 50, 100 or 200 ml Eau de Parfum ($220 - $465).

While I doubt this truly “disrupts the codes of the leather accord,”
would like to sample!
The word disrupt has become intensely annoying, but this does sound nice.
I am curious!
I am mildly curious, although I suspect Cuir d’Ange already fills this slot for me.
This sounds really nice.
Calling Lovestosmellgood!
I prefer “the raw, smoky nuances of the traditional leather accord.” Looking around for Cabochard…
