It’s Friday and National Bittersweet Chocolate with Almonds Day. Birthdays: Ruby Hurley, Albert Camus, Al Hirt, Joni Mitchell. Our community project for today: wear a fragrance with vetiver, if you have one. (This is a repeat from 2017.)
What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.
I'm smelling delicious in Hermès Vetiver Tonka. I might wear this all weekend.
Reminder: on 11/14, for Claude Monet's birthday, wear a fragrance that reflects the spirit of Impressionism (Wikipedia: "characterized by visible brush strokes, open composition, emphasis on accurate depiction of light in its changing qualities (often accentuating the effects of the passage of time), ordinary subject matter, unusual visual angles, and inclusion of movement as a crucial element of human perception and experience") or scent a favorite Impressionist painting, or do something else creative with the theme.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2025, where I'll try (but usually fail) to have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Note: top image shows Bolide bags from Hermès.
The obvious choice for today was Fragonard Vetiver: I bought a bottle at the factory shop in Grasse back in 1981, and missed it so much that I got another bottle a couple of years ago in Paris. Trouble is, it’s been thoroughly reformulated, pleasant enough but frankly not great and gone in an hour, so i’ve bolstered it with a shot of Ô de Lancôme, which is terrific stuff.
I have a story for you! Couple of weeks ago I was talking with my boss and another manager at work about fragrances: they’re both men in their mid to late forties, so they wear the predictable men’s scents, top-ten-list things. I told them I would bring them some of the good stuff from the late seventies through the early 2000s, and did: last week I used up the last of my empty sample vials to decant all sorts of good things to give them an idea of how it used to be. I also wrote a page of short informational paragraphs so they’d know what they had on their hands: as I told my boss, “I do not do things in half measures”, and he had to agree that I did not.
Yesterday when I went in, the manager told me that when he brought them home, his wife and children, two girls under the age of 10, were instantly drawn to this: he said they’re getting to the age where they’re fascinated by scents and always make a beeline for them at the mall’s Sephora and the like. The whole family spent an entire evening after supper trying them all (10 in total), and he got the kids to make notes about the ones they liked (a thing parents do? I guess?). The only one the girls actively disliked was Eau de Courrèges, and my guess is that that’s because it’s a bright citrus cologne and therefore vastly different from most of the stuff in the stores these days. (I gave it to the men because I said, “.I included this because I wanted you to try something at least as old as you are.”) The big winners, unexpectedly, were two fairly dark and stereotypically masculine scents, the patchouli-and-suede Michael for Men and Hermès Rocabar, which I called “a lumberjack’s worth of forest woods and resins”, neither of them calculated to appeal to preteens. People will surprise you all the time!
And I’ve ordered a couple hundred more vials and promised him I’d make up another batch just for the wife and kids. (They’re getting some fun Demeters and CSP vanillas, for starters.)
That is a fantastic story, pyramus, and how lovely and generous of you to do that for them. Great that the whole family got involved too! Perfume is definitely of interest to the young’uns everywhere these days.
I am in Chanel Sycomore this morning, which I always want to spell with an “a” the way the tree is spelled. It is the EdT, now extinct. I have been nursing a decant of this since the MakeUpAlley days and it’s getting pretty low. What a masterpiece.
I have not tried the current Sycomore EdP, but I hear it is sweeter. Maybe some of you here have opinions on that.
When it wears off, I will switch to a recent find, Vetyver from Honore Payan. I don’t know how old it is. Not current and quite blended with other greens and florals and what smells like lemongrass so that the vetiver is not in any way sharp or raw. I suspect that like the Fragonards, this was aimed at the Grasse tourist trade, but it’s really well done and just pleasant and pretty to my nose so I forgive it for fading after two hours.
Robin, you were spot in with your comment yesterday that many vintage fragrances had bases that included vetiver and patchouli. I have noticed this as well when I check notes. But they were blended so smoothly that it was difficult to pick out individual notes.
Thank you for the CPSs, Robin, I always learn something new.
Denise, it’s been a while since I smelled the thrilling EdT, (which I remember as being quite dry,) but I’d say the EdP is more plush, rounded, and maybe a bit more floral; the vetiver and sandalwood, though, are very much intact. Were I gifted a bottle of the EdP, I would not be disappointed.😊
I haven’t yet smelled the extrait, but that’s the one I hear is markedly sweeter.
Thank you Daniel!! I really should go smells these.
What a wonderful colleague you are! Interesting to read your description of vintage Rocabar — I have the current formulation and on my skin it’s pretty much a straight-up fougère.
I haven’t smelled any newer versions but your report doesn’t surprise me in the least. The original formulation in the wrapped-in-a-blanket bottle is about as far as you can get from a fougère: it is completely dominated by deciduous trees, not a leaf in sight, until the base surprises you with warm vanilla and benzoin, just an extraordinary creation.
I love this story! What a fun and generous way to introduce people to fragrances that are no longer in the mainstream, (if they ever were.)
That is great pyramus!
What a terrific thing to do, pyramus! I’m so impressed the girls were willing to try these perfumes that are a world away from what they get at Sephora. I bet they will love the Demeters and CSPs!
You didn’t merely give them a fragrance adventure, you created a family memory for them pyramus ! « a lumberjack’s worth of resins! » love that!
Thank you for sharing this great story. I love that your creativity and generosity and the compelling fragrances themselves contributed to the family having such an engaging experience together.
This is a great story, and how kind of you to take the time to make up such gifts. Love the preteen reactions.
That’s such a wonderful, fun thing to do! I’m quite sure you’ve
started them down the deep rabbit hole. 🐰
Absolutely fantastic story, thank you so much for sharing! I had a similar experience, not with fragrance, but with sharing my favorite author with a friend, who surprised me by then sharing it with his mom and turning the whole family on to the author, everyone buying his books, even traveling 2 hours 1 way to see him at a book signing and referring to him as his ‘idol.’ Yes, isn’t it a great feeling when people surprise you?
Awesome story, pyramus!
I am in Prada Infusion de Vetiver. Smooth and relaxing scent. Another one that I should reach for more often.
On my second cup of coffee and a slice of lavender vanilla bread. Yummy!
Happy Friday! ☕️
Lavender vanilla bread *swoons*
Unfamiliar your (and virtually every other) scent but I’m confident you smell marvelous !
Thank you, LesLiesse!
Is that the same lavender vanilla bread that you posted a recipe link for?
No, this one I bought yesterday at the Bryant Park Holiday Market. Much tastier than the one from the recipe.
👍👍
I just went for the easy and the obvious, Guerlain Vetiver.
It always works!
I will twin with Robin!
Hey twin 🙂
Happy Friday, everyone.
In keeping with this week’s project, and in line with my Classic 1970s Week, I’m in Equipage from Hermès, (1970.) Loving the blend of citrus, florals, leather, smoke, and spice. (There’s vetiver in there, too.)
By today’s standards, I guess you’d say this was old-school, hairy-chested stuff, and the leather is certainly rougher than in, say, Hermès’ own Cuir D’Ange, but this is another “masculine” that I’d love to smell on a woman.
A perfect classic, nice pick Daniel!
It’s another lovely one, Daniel. The original version, especially, is not for everyone, but I do love it.
Yeah, my bottle isn’t very old – maybe seven or eight years – and it’s pretty darn good. I’d LOVE to smell the original – I’m guessing it’s deeper, mossier, and dirtier.
I’m taking points in Papillon Dryad, and particularly noticing the vetiver note for maybe the first time.
Oh good, the cp helps!
I have a difficult relationship with vetiver. On one hand, it’s the base of some of my favourite all natural perfumes, like Florascent Medina, where it’s balanced with patchouli and saffron, on the other, it is a very domineering note, with peculiar, green tinged creaminess that tends to overshadow other notes. I have not liked any of the single note vetivers I tried to date so I decided to go with a perfume which puts vetiver’s smothering creaminess to good use: Strange Invisible Perfumes Fire and Cream, a fiery, indeed, blend of orange, orange blossom, lavender, tuberose, patchouli, vetiver, frankincense, and sandalwood. In this one, all the other ingredients manage to keep vetiver in check, and highlight its earthy, rooty and creamy character. This one is sadly discontinued, but I will enjoy it while it lasts.
Akimon, pls email me at denise aaaattt denisehamilton dotttttttttttt com if you see this, it’s about yr last post about Strange Invisible Parfums.
Will do!
I remember that one!
I still have a little bit of Fire and Cream and will really miss it when it’s gone. When you post about SIP, it reminds me I should wear my collection of them more!
I’m just not much of a Vetiver person; I do have a mini of Terre d’Hermes but not sure if I have ever worn it. So I’m going with a green that has Vetiver – January Scent Project Eiderantler.
Good enough!
Wearing a spritz of VC&A Bois d’Iris (and thanks to Kris for mentioning that it has vetiver). I’m a big chocolate with almonds fan, even in my s’mores, so yay for National Bittersweet Chocolate with Almonds Day!
Smelling wonderful!
😀
Encre Noire!
Twins! Great choice! We smell marvelously.
Triplets!
At the moment I’m wearing SL Parole D’eau , a eucalyptus, citrus and pine scent which pretty much matches the trees I can see through my kitchen window, all dark shapes against the pre-dawn grey. Saturday here and I have been invited to a large 50th birthday party. I won’t know anyone ( apart from the birthday boy) so will need to buck up and make an effort. In articles about mingling at large events , I often read that one way to start conversations is to ask people questions about themselves because people love talking about themselves. Who are these people, I wonder? I loathe talking about myself and would exit any conversation with a stranger if they followed that tactic. Yuck. Horrible.
Kanuka, you smell marvellous. I have this scent and love it.
I’m not a huge fan of talking about myself. Hope you have a decent night out.
Good luck at the party, hope you chat only with the right kind of chatters 🙂
Vintage No 19, about as much vetiver as I can handle 😉
And you smell wonderful!
joining you in 19 today
Happy Friday! I love the colors in today’s photo, Robin.
After lunch with a scent-sensitive friend today, I plan on wearing Timbuktu. It’s my first vetiver-heavy favorite, before I even knew what vetiver was.
Timbuktu was my first vetiver-centric full bottle too.
I do too! I always like the colors of Hermes bags!
Luckily I don’t care about bags much in real life and have been carrying the same black backpack for years.
You will smell great and your friend will appreciate that you waited 🙂
SOTD is Encens Mythique today. Was going to join springpansy but had enough iris for this week😉
A long-overdue enabler pin to you, Kris. Without your mentions of Encens Mythique I would never have bought a sample of it, followed ridiculously quickly by a full bottle purchase!
Oh, thank you for the enabler pin. Another one in the group of Encens Mythique purchasers😊
Scent twins! (I’m still judiciously nursing that original decant you scent me in the spring, believe it or not it!)
😆 « you SCENT me » I meant « sent. » Perfect Freudian slip!
😂
You are good at nursing those decants.
The Depression Era is strong in our family! If only I nursed ice cream or chocolate like everything else!
You had quite the enabler’s streak for Encens Mythique!
I did!
Joining Glannys in Encre Noie today and reveling in it.
“Noire”
It is good stuff either way 🙂
I’m in the discontinued Annick Goutal Vetiver. Not the original-the EDC in the beautiful 200 ml bottle. I can’t believe how many scents I have that are now discontinued. Makes me feel old:)
Ha, same! It is a good thing I use scent so slowly.
Wearing CdG Kyoto and it does have vetiver in it. Just need some extra chill today. Got a little bit of “good” news today, I will have 5 weeks of vacation next year and thinking of 2 weeks together to go to Gettysburg and then Philadelphia for the Mutter Museum.
You smell wonderful and I’m so happy for your good news and fun plans for your time off.
5 weeks! Awesome!🤩
Sounds like fun! Maybe you will have your driver’s license by then.
Whenever I see the Mutter Museum mentioned, I think of an episode of the cartoon “Daria”, where she convinced her Dad to go with her to the Mutter Museum.
5 weeks is lovely!
I am always meaning to go to the Mutter, and have lived near Philly for almost 30 years now and never have. Ha! You will undoubtedly beat me to it.
Hi fragrant friends,
Post shower will be Chloe Cedrus. Quentin has been my guy for much of 2025.
We are house twins.
In Masque Milano Romanza, a beautifully complex, indolic narcissus and jasmine floral, with a myrrh sweet-spiciness. And yes, vetiver.
I don’t know if I can isolate the vetiver but the CP is helping me appreciated its important role in so many of my favorite fragrances.
Oh, you smell fab. Have this & must retrieve from the back of the perfume cabinet!
I’m glad you enjoy this one too!
I meant to add a reminder to email me about your split so that I can get the split packages out to you as soon as possible😊
Wasn’t me–didn’t participate in the split meet this time–a couple of early Black Friday “opportunities” got me.
Sorry for the placement, galbanumgal! I meant that for a couple of my splittees who haven’t emailed me yet.
I’m always on the look out for those BF opportunities too😋
Been a while since I’ve seen someone mention Romanza.
It’s definitely not a fragrance for everyone…enter indoles, stage left.
Sweet, a Snagglepuss reference!
You smelled really rich and wonderfully heady in Romanza yesterday!
Vetiver 101 questions?
– do you pronounce in the French way (vay-tee-vay) or English (VETTE-eh-verrr)?
– there’s lots of types of vetiver from around the world? So you might not like one area’s vetiver but you would like another’s?
– if the scent notes say « woody » is that the code word for vetiver? Of note, what scent family description would clue me in on it?
– I’m not quite sure what vetiver smells like. Should I try to find single note vétivers in a store and try them to figure how I feel? Or is Vetiver a note that usually best plays a supporting role, especially with patchouli?
– After 11 mos, m happy to say on most days I know more than 50% of the fragrances. Today, I’m lost mostly, but want to find my way out of the vetiver woods! 😉
I’m no expert since I mostly dislike this note, but I think most of us English speakers say “VET-iverr.” I usually think of it as root-y smelling, like a dug up plant (and since I don’t like it, a nasty plant). A friend of mine who likes it thinks it’s pretty neutral smelling, though. And some people must like it, so they should come and answer you, too!
I have 2 perfumes with vetiver in the name. I honestly have no idea what it smells like.
Sometimes it’s grassy, sometimes it’s smoky, sometimes it’s funky, and sometimes it’s inky. Depends on where it comes from and the concentration in the perfume.
Fzotic has 2 perfumes that are on opposite ends of the vetiver continuum, Vetiverissimo and Lampblack.
I typically pronounce it as “VET-ee-vuhr”. So it’s my own thang. Fragrance folks seem to know what I am talking about.
If you know of a store near you that sells essential oils, you can see if they have a tester of the vetiver? I adore the smell unadorned, but clearly some people do not.
I’m wearing Zoologist Moth for the CP today, and send my thank you to the person who mentioned it earlier this week as having vetiver. I’m not sure I could pick out the vetiver in this. After my initial sprays, right now it is dominated by honey and some floral sweetness that I think is heliotrope (but it could also have mimosa in there). There’s a definite skanky note too–more animalic than oud, so I suspect it’s the ambergris. I do like this scent a lot and am glad to be reminded of it so I could get it out of the box and wear it today.
That was me Calypso, happy to see another Moth fan, I really like it too.
Thank you!
Vetiver has always smelled to me how I imagine poison roots to smell. I can take it in small quantities in a blend, but not in large doses. I’m wearing the last of my Maksim samples, Bestia Sacra. This is incense and animalics but not overdone. Everything from this house that I have smelled has been great, and even greater, they make 9ml bottles. I bought Cologne d’Agar after LT loved it in a review, and I bought Oud Indochine after I smelled the sample.
I’ve been noting your comments on this line and they’ve made me want to try some. Where are you getting them from?
I suspect I’m with you in not much caring for vetiver. Do you also dislike iris? For some reason they’re linked in my mind, as somewhat nasty rooty herby smells. I like how an iris flower smells but not the iris notes in perfumes.
Maksim Perfumes are available at Luckyscent.
I like some iris perfumes–Monegal Impossible Iris doesn’t smell dry and rooty to me, but more flowery, and Xeroff Irisss is nice, too, but most other irises aren’t my favorite. I don’t like the carrot-y ones.
Thank you Dawn for pointing out that Kyoto has a vetiver note, that will be my SOTD 🙂 .
It’s in so many fragrances, glad you found one!
Joining several others in Encre Noire today. We all smell great!
Yes you do!
I wasn’t sure I’d have anything for the cp, but I went to Luckyscent, typed in vetiver and scrolled down and there it was: Delina. Who knew? But it’s got vetiver listed in the notes. It’s from a sample and I’ll probably thunk it after today. This is one of those glad I tried it but don’t need more perfumes.
I had a zoom meeting this morning and I don’t think of myself as a type A personality, but meetings that don’t start on time drive me nuts. A time is set for a reason: start on time, stay on task, end on time.😤 It’s not that hard.
Anyway, the sun is out for one last nice day before the rain/snow mix we are supposed to get over the weekend.
Wow about Delina having vetiver! I’ll have to discern it the next time I wear it.
That’s hard for me to believe, too! I’ll also be trying to pinpoint it the next time I spray some on.
I’m with you as a type A when it comes to meetings! I just hate wasting my and everyone else’s time. For this reason I was a pretty popular department chair, I believe–always prompt and cutting off the long vagaries of academic hot air (I think I’ve not stated that well, too bad!).
It’s going to be a sucko weekend here too.
Yep. We are getting the rain/snow too.
No 19 edt for Big Meeting Day. There’s some vetiver buried in there.
You smell lovely and I hope Big Meeting Day went well🌸
It did, thank you!
Several NSTers have mentioned that No. 19 could fit a large majority of the CP themes in the past. They aren’t wrong. 😉
True that. I feel like Silences also fits many of the same briefs.
I’ve been wanting to empty some samples or decants, and the vetiver cp has allowed me to finish off two samples – yay! Today I thunked a freebie sample I got in a swap, I think in the early 2025 swap meet. It’s Le Vetiver by Lubin, a zesty/spicy fresh smelling vetiver. And easygoing nice perfume for a beautiful fall day. I think I’ll put something heftier over it for evening later but I don’t know what it’ll be yet.
I took Monday off as a vacation day since I have Tuesday off for Veterans Day so I’m really pleased to have a four day weekend!
Enjoy your long weekend! It looks like most of the US will be getting a big blast of cold air, and even snow, and so I hope that doesn’t make life difficult where you are.
Thanks! And no, we’re not impacted by that weather here in Seattle, thankfully.
Woo-hoo for 4 days off! Relax and enjoy!
Yeehaw for a 4-day weekend!
Have a nice time off!
Wearing Prada Infusion d’iris (from the mini set). Fragrantica says there’s vetiver in it although I can’t necessarily decipher it. By the way, has anyone ever read the “pros and cons” of their fragrance on fragrantica? Looks like they’re ai generated. I had a good laugh over the ones listed for my sotd.
Nope, although nothing wrong with doing so. AI or otherwise, I prefer to get my “news” from fellow NSTers 😇.
I’ve glanced over the pros and cons. I will try and spot some funny one’s next time I am looking something up.
Those Fragrantica “pros and cons” are very much AI generated. There’s a caption mentioning that.
Yes, some of the pros and cons are pretty humorous.
SOTD = Chanel Sycomore EDT
Thanks to jalapeño for mentioning it yesterday! I am on theme!
I got my purchases from Nordstrom today and will be ready to decant soonish. I received soooo many extras that I will be including some in the packages – guaranteed fresh along with the perfume(s)!
I added my newly acquired Chase Visa, sent to me as a replacement even though I did not ask for one, to my Apple Pay account. I was actually surprised that I can. Anyway, I did a little bit (really!) of damage at Lush and at Sephora, then went to Chipotle for lunch and the account was declined 2X. DECLINED!!! I then got a text which I couldn’t respond to; I tried but it had the same problem as I had with some of my friends. I ended up calling them and all is well until the next time it gets declined 🤬.
I sent my emails on the splits last night and some have already paid. I have several more follow-ups to do. I love efficiency!
This being the holiday season, I imagine that some will be flying to their destinations. As such, here’s an article on how to try not to get sick while traveling via air. It is from the Wall Street Journal so hopefully you can still read it!
https://www.wsj.com/sports/olympics/team-usa-doctor-air-travel-milan-olympics-fe95ea1c?st=UQcMiZ&reflink=article_copyURL_share
I’ve managed to avoid the Sephora sale so far.
I am trying to maintain my Rouge status so will need to check how many points I still need to earn to keep that!
How old is your iPhone? Could that be the source of your texting woes?
My iPhone is 3.5 years old but the texting woes started a year ago.
TDC Sel de Vetiver for me today. I usually wear this in the summer, but it’s working for me today.
Is Sel de Vetiver very salty?
Yes. I love it.
Happy Friday & VETTE-iver Day !
Sotd Guerlain Encens Mythique from a generous NSTer. Not sure whichbthe notes I’m smelling are vetiver but I adore this scent especially with its rose notes softening the spicier and incense-y ones!
Happy Friday LesLiesse!
Vetiver can be a chameleon, ranging from bright and grassy with citrus topnotes, to dank AF with inky notes. Part of that depends on where it comes from.
Yes I read that. One could not like one type of V, then live one from another part of the world.
I had originally planned to wear Guerlain Vetiver for today’s cp but changed my mind to JD Dark Horse instead. Although Dark Horse does contain a vetiver note, I don’t really smell it. Instead, it’s the woody (especially the guaiac note that I ❤️) and spice notes I smell. Dark Horse is a favorite scent of mine when the cool fall weather finally arrives, and I chose it today because of the heavy Native American influence in the area we just visited.
We just got back from the overnighter at Starved Rock State Park where the Trolley Progressive Dinner was awesome, and the unexpected bonus was the many nice couples we met there – we sat with different people at each stage of the event and although everyone we met was from different areas, we experienced the ‘6 degrees of separation’ connection with several of them! Another bonus was beautiful weather and despite it being November I’d say the trees have just reached their peak and wow, did we enjoy that!
Happy weekend to all!🍁🍂🦃
Sounds like a great time!
Dark Horse smells great!
JD Dark Horse is very much a cold weather perfume. I can’t imagine wearing all those spices in the height of summer.
What a wonderful time Laila!
That sounds like a lot of fun!
Popped into the Diptyque store today to sniff the Sapin (okay, but no Frasier Fir), and tried the Vetyverio. Like a few other people, a vetiver-heavy scent is not my thing, but it was okay.
Thanks for the Diptyque report!
LOL — whereas to me, Vetyverio does not even qualify as vetiver-heavy 😉
Got some errands done this very windy afternoon. Some dramatic dark clouds loomed overhead as well, but no precip showed up for me.
Good news for me this afternoon: one of my close friends came home from the hospital. She went in on Sunday morning with a 103-degree fever and shortness of breath. Diagnosed with pneumonia that day, but had a Strep infection diagnosis added on Tuesday. She will be on vancomycin for 6 weeks. I was rather concerned about her situation.
That was part of my disinterest in perfume. There was more personal angst.
SOTD = back in Burberry Brit Rhythm for Her. Sure enough, it has vetiver in the basenotes, which smells great paired with the lavender in the top/heart notes.
I’m glad your friend is doing better and that some of your stress has been lifted. 🩵
Thanks lillyjo!
Glad your friend is doing better!
Thank you!
Such great news jalapeño!
Thanks! Really relieved to see the chat message that she was at home this afternoon.
Great news about your friend.
We have been having windy weather the last few days, but this is typical for South Dakota. Windy all the time!
Thank you Kris!
Some wind is not unusual for northern Colorado. But the past couple of days have been downright gusty. I figure a weather front is taking its sweet time moving thru the area.
That’s great news about your friend!
Thanks Gail! She is so glad to be back home with her hubby and her cat. Seems that the cat was missing her, too.
Glad to hear all is better and your friend is diagnosed and on the right medicine.
Thank you ockeghem!
That is stressful, glad she is on the mend.
(Plus you do smell great)
Thanks Robin! Nice to have one less thing to worry about now, for sure.
How stressful for your friend, and you, scary, too. Glad she is on the mend. Your post made me remember I have a sample of the Brit Rhythm I just saw the other day, haven’t worn it in ages. Think I will put some on now and tuck in bed with my book and 😻😽😸.
Thank you, Laila! It’s been a long time since I last wore Brit Rhythm. Think I need to pull it out more often.
I am feeling a bit overwhelmed today. I wanted to wear something cheerful for work. My sotd is Chloé Lumeneuse.
This perfume makes me think of Aurora. Waving hello to her in case she’s reading 👋
You’re off this weekend though, right? I hope you have time to rejuvenate!
Yes thank goodness, I am off!
Hope your scent cheered you up lillyjo!
It did. Perfumey florals make me happy 🙂
I miss Aurora commenting here, too. Hope she is doing well.
Hello Jalapeno and thank you. I came back from France Saturday evening and will resume commenting Tuesday.
Sometimes cheerful scents are just the best! Hope you have a good weekend.
Hope your weekend is good and relaxing, lillyjo. This round of snow won’t last!
Hello Lillyjo, I came back yesterday evening. Will resume commenting Tuesday.
Vetiver Oriental for the CP win. It is my vetiver BFF, but I need to revisit a few others I have. Glannys’ mention of Angel Muse made me want to ask if anyone else thinks VO and AM are similar?! I was reminded of AM when I spritzed on VO. More computer shopping today, and I’m leaning again to team desktop, with plans to get an iPad later. Thinking, Thinking.
I still keep a desktop and a laptop and an ipad. I keep swearing I’ll give up the desktop but I don’t.
I can relate! I loved my ipad but it aged out and I’m not sure a laptop will be a good to me.
Unfortunately, I haven’t tried Vetiver Oriental, so I can’t comment on how similar it is to Angel Muse.
I went big – Route du Vetiver Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier.
