It's Friday and National Pasta Day, plus the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. Our community project for today: wear the perfume you would like to be buried or cremated in. (This was a suggestion from Deva, who did note that it is a bit macabre, but also that many cultures include fragrance materials of various sorts in their funerary rites. I was saving this project until Deva rejoined us, but since it looks like she has moved on to other interests, I'd like to take this opportunity to honor her since her presence here brightened everybody's day for so long. If it's too macabre for you, don't join in, obviously!)
What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.
I do not have any strong opinions on what fragrance I'd want to be buried or cremated in. If I was to be buried, it wouldn't hurt to throw a vintage houndstooth bottle of Diorissimo in my coffin? I'm more interested in what I'd smell while I was dying, and I think it should be something calming that did not bring up any associations with things I was trying to hold onto or fret over, so I'm going with my old standby Comme des Garçons Ouarzazate, layered over my DIY lotion of ylang and sweet orange for a little uplift. I suppose if I am cremated someone could spray on a refresh?
Reminder: on 10/24, wear any fragrance you like and tell us what you’d like people to think of you when they smell it on you, OR, wear a fragrance and connect it with a fellow reader who “enabled” you to get it or who you know likes it/has mentioned wearing it. Both of these projects were suggested by allo.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2025, where I'll try (but usually fail) to have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

Hello and tgif!
Sotd is TF Cherry Smoke. Not too loud but not too subdued either. I also feel the smoke in this will complement the burning.
I went to the perfume workshop in my local essential oil store! They have bottles separated into top, middle and base notes and you simply choose 2-3 of each category and mix in a 3-4-3ml ratio to create a 10ml perfume. My scent starts with a mandarin-lime top, gardenia middle laced with rose and frangipani and base of sandalwood, jasmine and vanilla. It’s really pretty and quite “opulent” because of the white florals and sandalwood. I originally picked peppermint as well for the top but it was too dominant. I want to go again to make another one!
Your EO concoction sounds lovely!
What fun! Did they give any instruction on what might smell good together, or do you just play?
Just play. They give you blotters that you can drop the oils on and test out combinations.
Sounds like a great time!
How fun!
How cool! If you do go again, please let us know.
My first impulse is to tell whoever’s in charge to just pile all my bottles alongside me on the pyre; that’d be a cremation nobody would soon forget. But really I’d rather they all go to good homes, so instead I’ll have them spray me down with a lot of CSP Amour de Cacao before they fire me up. It’s what I’m wearing today, and it’s the ultimate comfort scent: I’ve been wearing it for decades, nobody doesn’t like it, and really it’s the smell of happiness.
Speaking of which! My parcel of vintage (more or less) scents arrived yesterday! It was hung up by the Canada Post strike but now they’re doing rotating strikes and I guess I got lucky. The most important thing was the Molyneux Quartz for my little sister, who’s visiting in a week and a half: turns out it isn’t the vintage I’d hoped for (can’t place the year but I know it’s later than the ‘80s) but she’ll still be thrilled by it. The other five bottles, for me — well, I’ll report on those next week, won’t I?
Have a great visit with your sister!
I’m looking forward to next week when you report on what else you got.
What a very thoughtful gift for your sister, I’m glad it arrived on time!
A sister visit, YAY!
Enjoy your sister’s visit! And I will be rather interested in your “perfume after action report”. You and Aurora find the most amazing goodies.
Still waiting on my sample of the new Tauer. It’s been sitting in customs since September 25. I got a dump of mail for the first time today, but it wasn’t anything interesting and basically all went in the recycling. Enjoy the new perfumes!
Frankly, I don’t really think about the scent I’ll be buried or cremated in. It’s not even because I find it macabre – I think I just procrastinate when it comes to things like health and death. Probably out of fear – I’m okay with the idea of dying one day, but I prefer to think of it as a distant event.
My dad called today. He broke his arm a few weeks ago, and unfortunately it was an offset fracture, which normally requires surgery. However, they don’t want to operate because of certain health concerns. After going from doctor to doctor, a decision was finally made: no operation. They’ll use some kind of bandage (no cast) and wait for the bone to heal. That, of course, means there’s a higher risk that it won’t heal properly, but it still seems to be the safest course of action. We can only hope for the best.
Ooh, I forgot to mention my scents.
A bit of Lush Death and Decay (solid) on my wrists – a soft, powdery lily, which, I suppose, is a symbol of funeral flowers.
And also ELDO Fils de Dieu sprayed all over, because Deva loves this scent, and it’s her CP.
I totally agree with your first paragraph. I try to think of death in the distant future as well. However, the older I get, the closer that time is coming.
Also, sending good thoughts to your dad on his recovery.
Wishing your dad a speedy and full recovery!
2nd that! Hope it heals well.
I hope your father heals well and he is not too uncomfortable. Have a happy weekend Glannys!
I hope there’s healing goes well for your father, and that it’s fairly speedy.
Sometimes non-surgically treated fractures heal surprisingly well, so fingers crossed your dad’s will as well.
Sending well wishes for complete healing of your Dad’s fracture.
Oh dear, hoping all goes well for your dad. The only fractures I’ve had have been left to heal on their own, and so far, so good. (I’m younger, though.)
Hoping 👏 and praying 🙏 for your dad’s full recovery!
I’m wearing Hermann à mes Côtés…, just because.
Good enough reason, always!
I’m wearing Je Reviens for the CP this morning as I love it and the name would make attendees at the funerary rites chuckle. Or worry, maybe. Although I almost chose Le Temps d’Une Fête!
Je Reviens was my mom’s signature scent, scaresbears:) You smell terrific. I think it’s an elegant scent.
Also, you could have chosen Passage d’Enfer 🙂
Great minds think alike; that’s what I wore yesterday!
Excellent, it made me chuckle!
Je Reviens is a wonderful choice; I will return!
I would like all my perfumes to be poured on my remains to be cremated in or in my ashes before being buried. However, that is an impossible task.
Instead I would love to be heavily sprayed on Masque Milano L’Attesa and April Aromatics Calling All Angels. Both names are very appropriate for the occasion and iris and incense are my two favorite notes. I just sprayed Calling All Angels on one arm and L’Attesa on the other. Heavenly!
I went to BBW yesterday and tried the Cereal Milk Soft Serve and Black Tea products. The Black tea is very calming and relaxing. I really liked it. The Cereal Milk is so much fun. I found it very warming and comforting, especially for cold days being at home. I loved it. I did minor damage to my wallet and got few items from both lines. I also tried the Raspberry Holiday Pie Bar, which I also like, but I will wait for the next sale to get the shower gel and a mini travel size spray.
Happy Friday, everyone! 🌻
Thanks for the update pl67. I may have to run over there today.
The milk line is fun overall: Milk Bar Birthday Cake, Cereal Milk Soft Serve, Raspberry Holiday Pie Bar, Peppermint Bark Truffle and Cinnamon Sugar Pretzel Cookie. My favorite was the Cereal Milk.
I want a Cereal Milk Soft Serve cone, preferably now!
I am craving for one too! 🍦😋
I will check my bbw maybe this weekend. I have a reward to use!
Hope you find something you like. I also have a reward to use. I might wait for the Black Friday sale to go to the store and redeem it.
The BBW Black Tea sounds rather interesting. Thanks for reporting back!
Have you been able to reschedule the apple picking with your family members?
I used the Black Tea shower gel today. It is an interesting and relaxing one from the aromatherapy line.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t reschedule our apple picking this year. My sisters are busy with other things, so we will go pumpkin picking instead next month.
Thanks for the report on the new BBW scents. My post below explains how I got stuck at the 75% off displays; I never even thought about the new scents in my joy at finding so many items with the coffee/espresso note I love so much greatly on sale!
I am glad you find the coffee/espresso items that you love on sale. The new items will eventually go on sale on Black Friday or the semifinal sale after Christmas, so there is plenty of time to check on them.
I agree with Glannys that I don’t really think about what I would be buried in. I guess I would normally choose an iris or rose scent however, today I was thinking incense. My SOTD is Jergens Sandalwood lotion and Guerlain Encens Mythique. This is a great combination.
That sounds like a lovely combination and very soothing.
It definitely is soothing.
I must check out this Jergens lotion!
All of them are very good. I probably use the citrus one the most, but the sandalwood is really nice as well as the rose one.
Good thing Encens Mythique comes in that big honking bottle. 😉
Yes.
Oud Alezan for today, but not for the CP
Check!
After not being able to get out of the house yesterday after all (plumber stuff took waaaay too long) to go sniff EdM Bleue or the Pacifica line, I realized that a spray sample of IA’s Falling Into The Sea was waiting patiently on the shelf. Perhaps a bit literal for having one’s ashes sprinkled into the Pacific, but it’s actually very nice. Similar to Wood Sage & Sea Salt, without the salt but with sand and a happier, more carefree vibe. I like it very much and will probably drain the sample. Maybe a travel spray ….
Aha, glad you discovered something else that would fit!
I did, and after that I remembered that Épicé Marine was ALSO waiting patiently on the shelf. I wonder what other possibilities are lurking up there, feeling lonely and unloved. 😉
Hmmmmmmmmmm. A potential IA lemming?
I’m afraid so. I have not been good lately — two blind buys plus a slew of samples in the span of a week, and now another lemming? At least the blind buys turned out to be successful ones, but sheesh!
Glad you found Falling Into the Sea, it sounds perfect!
I have springpansy to thank for my Sotd and top contender for my fragrant end.
She offered me a sample of SL De Profundis and said, “I thought you might like this.” And correct she was. Based on the funereal Chrysanthemum, it radiates beauty, solemn but comforting.
And I like what Serge has this to say about it…
“… the chrysanthemum invites Death to leave the cemetery and offer us its flower.”
De Profundis is astoundingly beautiful, and perfect for this week’s CP.
De Profundis smells like how a cello sounds. Hope that makes sense.
After meeting up with a perfume pal earlier this week we both now have lots of new samples. Today I am trying Vouloir Être Ailleurs and OJ’s Verano, and both are elegant.
Fun! I liked Tilleul but never did smell Vouloir Être Ailleurs.
I think I’ll go for Eau d’Hadrien EDT. It’s been a great friend to me for 30 years or more, it’s elegant, and I like the idea of a friend who is with me to the end 🙂
Such a good reason, perfume friendship and company and comfort.
I like that idea too.
Paris YSL, because I own enough of it to scent the entire congregation at my cremation, plus it’s soothing and happy and I have worn it for decades.
That sounds so good and pretty uplifting too. Have a nice weekend!
That would be the way…offer a spritz to everybody.
I did a bit of research to find out what is legally available in NZ following death and there are four options: burial, burial at sea, cremation and leaving your body to science. There are sub categories e.g. ‘green ‘ burials in a shallow grave wrapped in a shroud to aid decomposition or ‘ hydro’ cremations. My mother was adamant that she didn’t want a funeral when she died five years ago and I feel the same so whatever happens will be low key, I hope. My mother was so devastated by my father’s relatively young death that she couldn’t bring herself to think about his ashes ( she couldn’t scatter them as it felt too raw, but also couldn’t face them in the house as she was so, so sad and so kept him in the woodshed for over thirty years…we never knew what had happened until clearing out her house after she died, when we found ‘ him’ next to the garden spade). I dont see myself wearing perfume after I’m dead but Chypre Mousse proved a very calming perfume when I had cancer , and I do love it . I wouldn’t mind if my ashes were scattered ( secretly, not legally) in the sunny top corner of the historic cemetery where I walk…nearby roses, view of the harbour, happy memories and birdcalls.
There was your dad all this time!
My grandmother died in the late 80s and my mom planned to take her ashes to Lake Erie to scatter, but stuck the box on a shelf in her closet in the meantime, and there it sat until my husband died and my mom moved to a retirement home near me. So I took my grandmother’s ashes and put them in an urn and they are now next to my husband’s urn upstairs by some framed pictures. I stop and talk to them regularly. Maybe some day I will scatter them both in appropriate places but meantime I like having them.
I am not at home but I had a rummage through the samples and decants I have with me to look for something suitable. I know “fumee” in French is “smoke” so I grabbed SL Ecrin de Fumee. Google told me it translates to “smokescreen” which seems apt for a cremation, and an advertorial for it from Harper’s Bazaar was titled, “When the party’s over.” That seemed pretty spot-on to me! I had not tried it before, it’s a rum/tobacco thing, very Serge-y.
Very spot on, I had never heard the “party’s over” tag line!!
I have never thought about my death wish perfume, it would probably be Coco. But I chose Wazamba today because it’s chock full of stuff that some cultures use to prepare the bodies of loved ones: incense, myrhh, olibanum, resins etc. Haven’t worn it yet this fall and it smells wonderful.
Happy Friday! I don’t know why I still get a kick out of Fridays since I’m retired? Probably because it’s my day off.
My nose wanted resins for today’s CP too. You smell great!
And you picked a great one, you smell wonderful!
I get a kick out of Fridays even being unemployed! Ha! I blame it on having a kid in school….. weekdays are still weekdays.
Also, it’s just muscle memory…Fridays feel different!
Hi fragrant friends,
SOTD for the CP is Indochine. It’s always in my top 3-5 and it’s a big time reminder of many travels, especially Laos, Cambodia and Burma.
I have a very tiny bit – literally one drop – of vintage Joy that was gifted to me in 1973 by my soon to be husband. There is something so touching and indicative of that first bottle that the final drop might need to be applied.
With this same husband, we traveled to Varanasi/ Benares/ Kashi in 1982 for a long journey to all parts of India and up into the Himalayans.
Varanasi was like no where else I have been, all of the temples cascading into the Ganges, non stop music, chanting, pilgrims, mosques, and of course the ghats, where cremations were taking place. Marigolds, monkeys, incense, sadhus, silk, cows, beggars, boats.
It remains unique all these years later.
Somehow for all these years and moves, I have a tiny vial of amber that was purchased in Varanasi. It sits next to my Joy in the vault.
Varansi sounds magical. That’s a precious memory. 🪷
I participated in a Diwali celebration with friends today. The vibrant colors of the decor, the joyous music, and boldly flavored foods were delightful. 🪔♥️💛🧡
Oh, the festival of lights!
How nice you went!
Thanks for sharing, this is a great read!
Such a great story. I was in Bali in the 1970s and watched a funeral procession with numerous lembu – ornate decorated papier-mâché sarcophagus shaped like bulls ( mostly gold, yellow or black). It was an incredible sight
https://www.funeralguide.co.uk/blog/death-around-the-world-bali
Kanuka,
Yes, they are amazingly ornate and remind me of the huge papier mache creations in Singapore.
Thank you for the beautiful picture you painted.
sotd = l’air du desert marocain solid perfume
I have always adored this scent, a favorite from my long ago first sniff. It’s a reminder that love is ancient and eternal. ❤️
And the labdanum and cedar smell endless and everlasting, but in a really good way. 🤭
So please marinate me in laddm, then send me on my way, to the beautiful oblivion that awaits every living being. 😌
How did I not know there was a solid LADDM?
Marinate away….
I think Mr Tauer did the laddm solid perfume as a once in a blue moon offering. I hope he does it again.
Mine is almost gone even though it is quite strongly scented, which says a lot about how much I love wearing it.
I hardly ever finish a full size perfume, I like to wear most perfume in small doses.
Is the solid version of LAdDM the same as the liquid?
They do smell the same note-wise, but the solid wears closer to the skin than the liquid. I love them both.
Thank you! I have a sample (maybe 2) from Tauer of LAdDM. It has/they have lasted quite a while.
I thought about this one (liquid, tho) as a contender for this week. Been with me for so long…
I thought about this one for the CP! I would love to have this as a solid-solve all the travel worry about leaking samples and Customs random annoyance about liquids…
Sampling Trudon 45° today…getting honey, vanilla and kind of a wine note for a lack of a better word. ehaeheh 😉 Smells like mulled honey wine. 🍯
Got back my results yesterday from my medical test on Weds and everything was normal! 🙌🏻 a huge relief. Thanks for all the supportive comments on Tuesday…greatly appreciated. 🤗 I have one more test/procedure this Tues to get through and took the day off from work. 🤞🏻 So grateful for this kind and fragrance-informed community! 🥰
P.S. B/c confession is good for the soul…I have gone from watching no fragrance YouTubers to too many! 😅
Good news, She-ra!
Thank you, apsara! ❤️
Great news and what a weight off your mind.
Thank you, Kanuka! ❤️
I’m so glad for your good news and the relief that comes with it!
Thank you, allo! ❤️
Yay!
Thank you, Glannys! ❤️
Congratulations on your good news! 😊
Thank you, tiffanie! ❤️
Excellent news! One down, one to go. You’ve got this!
Thank you, Jalapeno! ❤️
Congratulations on the good news! 🤞for more!
I watch way too much Fragrance youtube.
Thank you, lillyjo! ❤️
Great news 👏 and hope for the same on Tuesday🤞!
Thank you, Laila! ❤️
That’s really good news! I’m a yt watcher too.
Thank you, Gail! ❤️
Oh lovely.
Thanks, Robin! ❤️
That is a relief. Hope everything goes quickly and smoothly on Tuesday 🌻
Thank you, ringthing! ❤️
Demeter Dirt, bien sûr!
I think Demeter also has a ‘funeral home’ scent?
Indeed!
😆 actually made me laugh so much I snorted!
*claps*
😆
I’m on holiday and looked through my small collection to find something suitable for the community project. I chose Chanel No. 19 EDT. It feels fitting to me, though a few other favorites came to mind.
Wishing everyone a relaxing weekend!
No. 19 could work for almost any CP theme.
SOTD Mohur Extrait. Tonight at bed time I will apply Ancient Resins. These might be a good funeral combo – I plan to be cremated and then have my ashes scattered round the ranch, so whoever does the scattering can spray some of these scents as they are doing so…I think it is rather comforting to plan ahead. Now I have that settled, I will make sure it takes as long as possible before someone has to do that!
I thought about Ancient Resins too!

🎶Rock soldiers come, and rock soldiers go 🎶
Early morning for me. I was notified by the rental office that an outside contractor would be testing fire alarms today, and might need access to apartments. No time frame given. So in theory, they could have shown up at 8am. Or at 5pm. Grrrrrrrrrrrr.
I was standing underneath one of the fire alarms at 10:30 when the bleeping things went off. Same thing happened at least once more. Teflon kitty handled it much better than I expected her to. She looked mostly puzzled with a slight touch of annoyance, as opposed to bolting and hiding in fear. I waited around in case anyone showed up at my door. No one did.
SOTD = Jo Malone Myrrh & Tonka. I have my bottle as a result of Deva’s generosity. Since this was her CP idea, I am wearing it in her honor. Doesn’t hurt that I really like the scent. 😉
Nice! That is a beautiful ambery scent and a sweet tribute to Deva. I remember smelling lavender in there too. 💜
Thanks tiffanie! Next time I wear Myrrh & Tonka, I will check for lavender. It wasn’t apparent to me this morning.
Glad TK didn’t get scared!
That was definitely a relief. She gets bothered by me for her kitty medicine as it is.
Nice. I emailed Deva hoping she would come back for this but didn’t hear back from her. Oh, well hopefully she is doing fine in her new endeavor.
Sounds like Deva has well and truly moved on from perfume.
Nice tribute to Deva and hope your day got quieter.
Thank you Laila! It did.
Fortunately my kitty has been okay with the annual alarm testing over the years. She just kind of looks at me and goes back to sleep.
Great tribute to Deva and her generosity!
I think Teflon was less stressed because no strange people were tripping alarms inside the apartment. It happens 2x a year here.
Smelling wonderful today Jalapeño. I associate Deva with Ummagumma which I wanted to wear in her honor but I couldn’t find my sample. Glad TC was ok with the fire alarm testing, I think Larry would be under the bed in a flash.
SOTD for today’s cp is vintage Helena Rubenstein Heaven Sent. I chose this for 2 reasons: it’s a fragrance I have loved and worn since my early teens and still enjoy, and because I hope it will steer me where I will be going in my next life 😇!
I have several vintage bottles; today I’m wearing the edp from a vintage (.50 oz.) bottle I bought at an estate sale a few years ago, unused and boxed, and I paid $1 for it. In looking up the notes today, I saw 2 of the same bottles unboxed offered on eBay, each at a cost of $75!😱
Grocery shopping and a whole bunch of errands this morning. Went to BBW to use my free coupon for a mini body product, and they knew I was coming! Many items were on sale for 75% off, and many of these items – ranging from wallflowers to hand soaps to body lotions and body sprays – all featured a prominent note of coffee or espresso ❤️. I couldn’t’t resist, and with another coupon I had for 20% off, I got a whole bag of goodies for less than $25, one of my best BBW bargains ever.
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend ahead 🍁🍂🎃!
I really need to get to bbw this weekend. We are expecting a ton of rain though, so I might skip it.
Lots of goodies at 75% off. I was surprised because most were autumn-themed – I guess they’re getting ready for the Holidays ahead although I’m just getting into autumn now that the temps have cooled off. Lots of candles on sale but I really don’t need any more candles so I skipped that.
I stopped by BBW again this afternoon and grabbed many things from the 75% sale, autumn candles, wallflower refills and hand soaps. I spent 30 dollars, which was a huge bargain. The sale display was in the back by the cash registers. 99% of the store is Christmas themed and they are already playing Christmas songs. Too early for it!
Interesting. At my store there were 3 different 75% off sale displays. all at the front of the store. I didn’t look any further after that but on my way to the cashier I didn’t notice any Christmas stuff yet. Yes, definitely way too early for Christmas stuff. Yet all the Halloween Candy was out in mid-August. Cuz I want to buy it and store it for 2-1/2 months? Really?
Oh nice, I totally forgot about that HR!
You picked up an amazing deal with that Heaven Sent! I remember it being around with Love’s Baby Soft in junior high school.
Happy Friday!
I vacillated for quite awhile and then went with what called out to me at the moment: Zara Cocoa Bliss beat out Shalimar and Encens Mythique.
Too tired to comment individually, but here’s a compendium:
Sisters – Yay!
Healing for Fathers – Yay!
Je Reviens – fantastique!
Encens Mythique – fantastique!
IA Falling into the Sea – fantastique!
Eau d’Hadrien – fantastique!
Indochine – fantastique (esp w BumBum creme)
Getting your medical tests back and they’re normal – Super Duper!
Demeter Dirt – an old time favorite of mine, glad they still make it!
In my Zara Cocoa Bliss, I smell of peaches, passion fruit and chocolate. I’m going to have an alcohol-free mocktail of peach Perrier w frozen pureed passion fruit before dinner. Then dark chocolate for dessert. Dinner is actually roast chicken leftovers.
Congratulations on your Super Duper test results! Your sotd sounds great!
I think the test results were for She-ra. She said she was too tired to comment individually.
Oh got it. Well congratulations twice to She-ra!
Yes 2x to She-Ra!
Thanks to Kris for her laser vision!
Great news on the test results! Your fragrance sounds wonderful, as does your dinner, mocktail and dessert. Enjoy!
See what I wrote to lillyjo. I think she was commenting to She-ra.
Yes 2x congrats to She-Ra! But your big heart is in the right place!
Thank you, LesLiesse! ❤️
You really seem to like that Cocoa Bliss. I keep wondering if I would like it.
If you could coach me on the vials I need and sealant, I have padding and envelopes from last Office Depot run to send you some!
No, that’s fine. I did send you an email a while back with the vials I have ordered and the sealant. I can send them again.
Found it from 9/26. Will order & send you some ZCB once they arrive!
I’m wearing Coco today. I tend to wear it when I am nervous and death makes me nervous. Weather also makes me nervous and we are getting a lot of rain this weekend. I might wear Coco or it’s versions all weekend.
You smell wonderful and now that you mention Coco I think I will wear Coco Noir tomorrow. We are supposed to get a bunch of rain tomorrow too.
I wish Mother Nature would spread things out a bit. We could have used the rain periodically throughout the summer.
No kidding. We needed it badly!
Smelling wonderful lillyjo! Stay safe and dry.
Coco is a marvelous Fall scent. I hope that the rain you get isn’t crazy bad.
Commando today because I could not chose something, I’ve been especially indecisive lately. But tonight I’ll wear AdV Delhi for Deva. I remember she wore this quite often last year and it was because of her mention that I sampled it and then bought the adorable 10ml bottle.
Happy Friday, all!
Yes, Deva did like that scent. I tried it and although it is nice, it’s not me.
Those little 10mL AdV bottles are super cute. And very tempting.
I’m in Iris Nazarena. I do so love this one, but have never sprung for a FB. Unless someone buys me one, I’ll have to be sprayed from my decant, which I have due to a generous NSTer, so that’s a fitting tribute to this wonderful group.
I was reflecting yesterday, though, as I put on the Ummagumma for Deva, that really I should wear a soil scent. I’ve set out in my will that my body be put through human composting so that they receive soil in the end. I go with my grandma to the family plot whenever I visit, and it’s nice to have that physical place where so many of my family are buried, and to remember them. But no one will visit my mom’s grave (and eventually my grandma’s grave…sigh), except me, once or twice a decade because we’re so far away and no family is left there. As for me, I’d rather be in my kid’s garden, helping her plants grow.
That’s such a great idea and I do not know why it is not legal here. Laws around human remains are just odd.
Meanwhile, you smell fantastic!
Actually, as far as I know it’s legal in some U.S. states but not Canada — they’d have to ship my body to Washington state to do it. https://recompose.life/our-model/
I’d pick Anna Sui Dolly Girl because it’s what I wore on my first date with my partner (21 years and counting!).
Yesterday got completely away from me, but I did wear Ormonde Jayne Ormonde Woman. One of my favorites now that the weather has cooled.
