Why is Dua Lipa not singing herself?
YSL says this is her cover of Aretha Franklin’s Think.
Wow I didn’t recognize her voice at all! I thought it was a guy singing in a tenor like Pharrell. Thanks for the info Robin. And may I say I asked a question on Fragrantica a few days ago, and was met with derision by trolls. One even said there should be an IQ test before people can comment. I was polite, but wtf? Very grateful everyone has been so kind and understanding with my lack of fragrance knowledge. (Even my bad hearing)
Aw, I’m so sorry. There are mean people out there on the internet for sure.
I didn’t recognize her voice either because I don’t know her voice 🙂
I’m sorry that happened LesLiesse. I am glad you found NST ❤️
Me too ❤️
Oh my goodness, LesLiesse, I’m so sorry to hear about your recent experience. Some people lack common good manners, I’m afraid. I echo Lillyjo’s sentiment re being glad you found NST. I live in Aberdeen, Scotland, so a very long way I think from the majority of NST-ers, but I thoroughly enjoy the interaction with other people here – everyone is always lovely, & I must say I have found the same to be true of people on the Bois de Jasmin & Basenotes sites.
Thank you Carolyn ! I will definitely check out those two sites. It’s wonderful that NST community is spread out across the world. And I’ve been coveting a trip to Scotland since I first read the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon in the ‘90s.
You’re most welcome. I’d love to know what you think about the sites I mentioned, once you’ve had a chance to explore them. Completely agree re the spread of NST-ers around the world. I’m afraid I know nothing about Outlander, I certainly did not know it was a series of books before it became a very popular TV series – although I am a big fan of Sam Heughan despite being old enough to be his mother!
