Diptyque Lazulio~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 21 August 2025 10 Comments

Diptyque will launch Lazulio, a new addition to the Les Essences de Diptyque collection, in early September.

Lazulio draws parallels between the deep, crystalline beauty of lapis lazuli and the stunning majesty of a peacock feather. Tangy rhubarb blends with balsamic benzoin, vibrant vetiver and a touch of rose.

The archetypal bottle, inspired by Diptyque codes, features the signature oval embedded in the glass, magnifying the illustration behind.

Lazulio was developed by perfumer Quentin Bisch.

Diptyque Lazulio will be available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum (and possibly 10 ml as well, although as of this writing the 10 ml sizes are only available in a coffret).

Answering the philosophical question: how does Blue smell? I wouldn’t have expected rhubarb…

Me neither, but I don’t think this collection is going for any sort of realism. All that matters is does it smell great? And having smelled none of this set, I don’t even have a decent guess.

I’m confused as well. Lazulio as a name or inspiration for peacock? What does rhubarb have to do with either?

Lazulio presumably came from the lapis lazuli.

I hope the rhubarb note is strong and not in the background. Love the bottle and packaging 🙂

Pretty box! For the bottle I admit I prefer the regular Diptyque packaging.

Same – I’m hoping for lots of rhubarb. Will have to make a trip to the chichi mall so I can try it

I love the bottle and the notes. Will definitely sample. (However, I am generally not a fan of Bisch’s fragrances.)

I’m not a fan either (except for Angel Muse) I’m glad it’s not just me.
