British department store Liberty London has launched Tana Meadow, a new addition to the LBTY fragrance collection.
Like the threads of summer woven from sunlight and wildflowers, Thorpe printed on Liberty’s Tana Lawn Cotton™ is a memory of languid summers suspended under an endless sky. Draping softly against your skin, this sunlit musk is a carefree reverie where sparkling citrus dances and mingles with crisp green cypress, unfolding and melting into an amber glow of vanilla, orris, praline and musk.
“Tana Meadow was inspired by the delicate composition of Liberty’s iconic cotton - the sheer softness of the fabric, and the sense of lightness it carries. The result is a clean, modern scent- creamy vanilla and bright pear layered with a touch of ginger and pink pepper, resting on a bed of florals, soft musks and amber. It’s a fragrance that captures comfort, freshness, and the quiet joy of discovery.” – Hamid Merati-Kashani, Perfumer
Additional notes include mandarin, coconut, rose, orchid, jasmine and ambrox wood.
LBTY Tana Meadow is available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum (an 8 ml size is on the way as well).

What a pretty bottle!
This whole series has great packaging, especially if you’re a fan of liberty prints.
I must give this range a sniff when I’m in London in December. I remember buying a couple of their Tana Lawn blouses back in my working days – superb quality & of course beautiful prints. When I wore them during a business trip to visit the Houston office of my then employer, I was inundated with compliments. I also remember buying a limited edition Levi denim jacket with a Liberty print lining from them in the late 80s – it cost GBP 99.00 which was a small fortune in those days! Don’t care for the LBTY abbreviation/acronym/whatever, though.
I have quite a few tana lawn shirts…liberty prints are a weakness of mine, lots of brands make them using liberty fabric, and you can find them quite easily used on ebay & poshmark. Tana lawn holds up pretty well, some of mine are quite old and still in excellent shape.
I don’t like the LBTY name either!
