Dries Van Noten has launched Havana Gold, a new fragrance.
A journey, evoking the atmosphere of Havana bars where the air is steeped in smoke, joy, and sensuality. An unexpected combination: the nostalgic addiction of liquorice and the hypnotic warmth of tobacco absolute. The fragrance opens on a cool, aniseed breeze with gourmand, liquorous notes. In contrast, tobacco leaves unfold in smoky, spicy, leathery, woody tones, fading into balsamic warmth — benzoïn, cistus, roasted tonka bean. A golden opulence settles on the skin: intoxicating yet refined, deep and full of nuance.
Amber-tinted glass merges with an aged brass base, finely crafted with a patina that adds a nuanced and unique beauty.
“Havana Gold is a surprising alchemy between nostalgic, gourmand liquorice and the darkest, leathery facets of tobacco.” — Jordi Fernandez, Perfumer
Additional notes include mandarin, star anise, cinnamon, leather accord and cypriol.
Dries Van Noten Havana Gold is available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum, $376, and in a 200 ml refill.

This whole range has been rather underwhelming. Especially at the prices being asked.
That’s what I hear.
Meanwhile, the bottles for this range are so beautiful, they deserve better than underwhelming fragrances.
Can’t do Tobacco in any form, but that bottle cap is very creative!
The bottles are great…
