I like to put fragrance on the seat. Usually I wear perfume to bed, and I perfume [it]. Because I spend so much time in hotels, there’s nothing really grounding me. So I’ll get a perfume that I use that’s only for my bed and on the airplane seats, and I feel like I’m sleeping at home.

I understand the impulse, but I think that’s a little rude to subsequent passengers, unless she owns the plane. (I don’t know who she is, so I don’t know if that would be true.)
I agree. I feel self conscious even scenting myself for a flight; I always choose light scents and do one spritz. I can’t imagine being bold enough to spray the seat!
Can’t disagree, I would not appreciate sitting in that seat, or even near it.
There is absolutely nothing that would make an airplane seat feel like home.
