Daily Wild is great! It reminds me of the original Marc Jacobs EdP, which was a perfectly watery gardenia/jasmine. It’s like they smashed that with Daisy and added some banana leaf – it is super wearable and fun!
All that to say – you smell great!

Memo Tiger’s Nest for Master Tigress from Kung Fu Panda. That monastery in Bhutan, which apparently inspired the scent, could be Jade Palace.

I have never been to Bhutan (I’ve heard it’s getting harder!) nor watched Kung Fu Panda; however, my brother and SIL have and they’ve said it was beautiful. They hiked from the less populated side of the mountain and the view was spectacular.
Wow, it must have been an amazing experience for them.

Zero creativity on my end, here sitting in hospital. Instead of my aunts Happy Heart, I chose the JA because our very helpful case mgr is named Jasmine. We discussed jasmine fragrances yesterday and I told her I would wear one today as a thank you for her help. Fragrance builds bridges often!

Thank you very much everyone for the well wishes and sympathy yesterday concerning my poor departed cat, Meow Kitty. I appreciated it. Today I am wearing my still-new Arquiste Venice Rococo and matching it with some famous cartoon poodle. I suspect there are a lot of them but this is a fancy scent and needs a fancy dog. Maybe like Portia in 101 Dalmations?
Calypso I’m so sorry for the loss of your pet. It’s the worst. Sometimes I wonder how such small furry things can occupy such a disproportionate amount of space in their owners hearts. I hope you feel better over time.

Pre-and soon to be post-shower SotD is Diorella. Diorella was my superpower as I had to woman-up and face the further fall out from our chimney leak. I got lovely whiffs even through my dust mask on an extended visit to the attic to deal with icky wet towels and also pick up trash from last November’s re-roofing. At that time, the whole attic was exposed and the roofers unavoidably dropped broken decking, tarpaper, leaves, nails and shingle bits in the attic. I had a system and got much done quicker than I thought. Also the job was not as gross as I thought, with all exposed skin covered including hat, gloves, kneepads and headlamp. Headlamps are awesome and may I say everyone should have one! I only saw one sluggish, spindly spider, and no signs of rodents. BTW, Mr. Mossy was finishing our taxes below-stairs, and I’d say I had the better deal! 😁 Not to go on, but I saw a yellowed scrap of newspaper which I extracted from the mess. There was no date, but it referred to a special collection of antiques that the First Lady was presenting. I could see the words “…Mrs. Kennedy…” at one point. There were some used car deals on the back: ’59 Fords…$1700… The attic was empty when we bought the house 30 years ago, but we bought it from the people who built it, so I thought that was a cool artifact.

I’m celebrating the last cruise ship visit to our city for the season, the winter respite from acid rain caused by sulphur dioxide emissions, ocean waste, and noise pollution … so, am going perfume free to enjoy the fresh autumn air and the smell of fallen leaves.
Good thinking although I would have waited until right before the start of cruise season, but that is just me 🚢!

My SOTD is Diptyque Eau des Sense. For some reason this scent has a vibe of happy innocence for me. I was thinking what character could match it and Bambi came to mind (when he is learning how to walk and falling in love for the first time). It’s a stretch, I know 😁 I have a better idea for Friday!

Since it’s national unicorn day, that reminded me of a favorite animated movie, The Last Unicorn. I feel I could scent the last unicorn/Lady Amalthea a number of ways, but I also was in the mood for something subtle and easy so it’s Apres L’Ondee. I think this conveys the beauty, softness, wistfulness, and fragility of the last unicorn.
The melancholy of Apres L’Ondee is perfect for The Last Unicorn.

For the CP I am pairing Speed Racer (and the Mach 5!) with Dior Fahrenheit, circa 2012. The tar/asphalt notes in my memory are perfect for all the races that Speed drove in. Go Speed Racer, go!

It’s a combination of things: high wind, very low humidity (currently around 13 percent), and high temps. Very easy for an ignition source to cause a wildfire.

I went to check out the Sephora sale but nothing caught my nose today. My sotd is Dolce and Gabbana Pour Femme. Some people say it smells like marshmallow. It wears very perfumey on me, which is why I like it.
You do enjoy your “perfumey” perfumes!
Today I was sampling colognes from Juniper Ridge. I love their body washes — love the whole brand esthetic really — so I ordered three cologne samples and two boxes of incense sticks. The colognes aren’t doing much for me, but I have high hopes for the incense. I’ll burn some tomorrow as I write gigantic checks to the IRS. 🙄
I like their incense, and I buy a box of their tea bags once in a blue moon.
