I googled what Lady Gaga’s favorite perfumes are. Apparently, they include Womanity, Daisy, and YSL Paris. I don’t have any of those three, but I do have a flanker of Paris.
That’s why my SOTD is Yves Saint Laurent Paris Premières Roses 2014.
Wow! Those scents kind of surprise me. Anyway, before even reading this I had sprayed Daisy on with abandon!

Nothing Gaga-related today but I will save Fame for Friday. Today I’m in Perry Ellis Reserve, which is still easily available: god knows what it smells like these days, but the 1998 vintage is a bright, sparkling floral for men, citrus and lavender up top (plus I think hedione and/or aldehydes for radiance), herby carnations plus rose and wood underneath, just a pleasure to wear.
Stick with the 1998 vintage, it sounds wonderful.

Sotd is Harvest Mouse. Definitely a comfort scent, like a cashmere hug.
Trying out Lush’s Sleepy toothpaste. It tastes exactly like their Sleepy line – lavender and vanilla. I don’t know how they managed to put it into an “edible” form and I LOVE it.
Oh good to know, I will look for that toothpaste. I happened to be in a Lush today and luckily got to try Wash Behind Your Eyes before I ordered a bottle, it is completely different than it used to be and I do not need it.
I might have to go back to try the banana conditioner though.
I am wearing Rahat Loukhoum layered with Rosa Rossa. I really love this combination.

It’s warm here for a second day, and I think I’m going to celebrate spring with Fox in the Flowerbed. I only have one perfume for the CP, but there’s another that fits more obliquely that I’ll wear tomorrow if we’re back to gloomy weather.

Chanel Comète today. Not what I think of for Lady Gaga – not that she can’t be Chanel-sophisticated, just not the fragrance that I think of for her. It’s not really very “me” either, but I do smell good.
We had gorgeous weather in Seattle yesterday after the morning fog burned off. Mr. SP and I walked to a small community theater to see Raisin in the Sun which was well done and a total of 6 miles walking which we enjoyed.
It may not be a scent for you but it sure is beautiful!

More surgery on my elbow scheduled for tomorrow, a screw is impinging on bone or ligament and keeping my hand from turning palm-up. It should be a quick procedure to remove it and a fast recovery. I have a CT scan this morning and I think I can get away with a spritz of Osmanthe Yunnan. Not feeling very Gaga-ish so far this week.

I was thinking of Lady Gaga’s film roles and particularly House of Gucci ( which could also tie in with today’s birthday list). So, I was going to wear a Gucci perfume but they’re in my “ off-site storage” ( a.k.a the local department store ) so haven’t succeeded in that mission yet. And now I’m thinking more about the redpolls, which fly in flocks on the hills where I live. That’s one of the easiest ways of identifying them from a distance….if there’s a bunch of birds they’re likely redpolls. Plus they are chatty. They like open fields and farmland rather than forests. Wearing Pansy .

I’m in Sale Gosse from a sample. It’s light and pretty. Ostensibly designed for children, but at $370 a bottle you can draw your own conclusions. Frederic Malle’s site describes it as, “an ode to cheeky children,” so maybe it is all tongue in cheek?
For that price, it ought to at least be a cheeky fragrance of some sort, not light and pretty!

I reached for I Profumi Di Firenze Agrumi Di Sicilia for the first time this year on a lovely spring day. Tonight it’s Rem Tonka which smells delicious, Jalapeno would say I love my Tonka scents and she’s absolutely right. Looking forward to eating fresh cooked carrots and shop-bought mashed potatoes.
Too warm here for tonka at the moment! But since it’s March that could change at any time.
Oh, good weather in Colorado then at the moment. Here, it’s been 14 or 15C during the day all week with sunshine, so very pleasant but still fresh enough for tonka😃
I’m wearing La Fille de Berlin today, a gift from a lovely NSTer. I have a new outfit that’s the same color as the juice; burgundy pants are outside of my comfort zone but with the top it looks good.
I wish our week of sunny and perfect early spring days would last but then it wouldn’t be spring. It’s supposed to start raining tomorrow.

Trying Entre Genres by Coty today and notes are below. Nicely done and reminds me of some of Narciso Rodriguez perfumes. Nose is Nathalie Lorson and usually her stuff. The line wasn’t on my radar at all but I watched a video by The Perfume Guy and was influenced by that influencer in a mad turn of events! 😉 I wound up with the discovery set. 😅
Yesterday I also took advantage of Nordstrom’s discount and bought the Absolue Les Parfums Discovery Set..haven’t tried any from line of mostly roses yet. Reverend Mother, I have sinned…as the beautiful Anna Lee says in The Sound of Music. 😇🕊

Nope…I have tried 6 now and while all are nicely done none are FBW. I am going in order on the card and slowly closing in on the most popular and promising vanilla. Ehaeheh 😉 That one has the highest chance but these are quite pricey…in the realm of $4 per ml or so it would have to really move heaven and earth. I also imagine if the line doesn’t do well it will end up at the discounters/gray market someday too.
Yeah, and I have no idea if it is selling. Certainly isn’t making a big splash here!
I had a busy day off today. I did a jalapeno mountain worth of laundry and still have some left to do.
The weather was perfect sunshine. Expecting rain starting tomorrow. Allure edp called my name today.

Stumbling around with about max total of 10 hours of sleep for the past three days. For some reason, my eyelids snapped open like yanked window roller shades at 1130am and I could NOT get back to sleep. Three days in a row! Ugh…also, heating up here so definitely time to mosey down the road. Over 80F yesterday and today with a Sauron-like sun blasting its rays hard enough to bleach your bones in a nanosecond.☀️
I am absolutely without any Gaga ideas whatsoever, so I guess I’ll do my fall back CP which is wearing exactly what I want. And what I want is lots of sprays of Delhi today. Not in a mood to skimp! 🙃

I went over to my brother’s this afternoon so he could change the oil in my car and do a couple small fixes for my car. Then I tried to get rid of a fluorescent light tube for him as a favor. I know what’s inside those and would rather not have them in a landfill. I will try again later on this week at a dedicated hazmat disposal place.

The Mandragore perfumes are weather-dependent on which I prefer. Today it’s the Poupre. I thunked my sample of it.
When it is stinking HOT the original is better.
