Shiseido Ginza Datura ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 19 February 2025 5 Comments

Shiseido has launched Ginza Datura, a new fragrance for women. Ginza Datura is a flanker to 2021's Ginza, and follows last year's Ginza Night.

Ginza Datura was inspired by 'Tokyo’s midnight pulse' and developed by perfumer Karine Dubreuil, who notes that...

I used a headspace of Datura to bring the purest olfactory facets of this flower into the fragrance. To give it a magnetic twist, I drew inspiration from the irresistible warm facets of ylang-ylang, blending them with other floral, round, and almond-like notes. At the top, grapefruit adds a sparkling impression. At the base, I opted for an overdose of woods: sandalwood enhances the roundness of the scent, while the note of guaiac wood and sandalwood bring character, mystery, and depth to the signature of Ginza Datura.

Shiseido Ginza Datura is available in 30, 50 and 90 ml Eau de Parfum.

I don’t know datura, but the rest of it sounds lively, and I really like that bottle.
