Serge Lutens Le Perce-vent ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 18 February 2025 12 Comments

French niche house Serge Lutens has introduced Le Perce-vent, a new fragrance.

It’s at the heart of our most intimate tempests that the eye of the cyclone emerges. A cocoon of musk for damned souls, also known as windbreaker, it gives birth to a luminous, mystical water. Salvation for all those who live life to the full.

***

The image that comes to mind is the breathtaking eye of the cyclone: the still centre at which it is possible to shelter from the terrifying winds produced by its monstrous suction. Unlike those caught in the turbulent waltz of this boa constrictor, Le perce-vent will not be gone with the wind! — Serge Lutens

The notes feature clary sage and musk.

Serge Lutens Le Perce-vent is available in 50 ($154) and 100 ($228) ml Eau de Parfum.

No pitter-patter of the heart. I hope someone else tries it first!

I may be a bit caffeine deprived but the text describing it tells me very little….

I’ve had a ton of caffeine and I agree with you.

Well, that’s Serge Lutens. If they got descriptive it would seem weird, like he was not involved at all.

“A cocoon of musk for damned souls” may be my favorite silly advertising line yet, although there’s a lot of competition!

A cyclone of musk sounds absolutely horrifying.
