The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 4 February 2025 5 Comments

Guerlain has introduced their Cherry Blossom limited edition for 2025...

At the dawn of spring, the Japanese gather for an ancestral tradition imbued with poetry and beauty: contemplating the splendour of sakuras, cherry trees in full bloom. In honour of this ‘Hanami’ rendezvous, Guerlain unveils an exceptional, limited and numbered edition of the iconic floral fragrance Cherry Blossom. For its 2025 Millésime, Guerlain collaborates with the South Korean painter Taein Song, who transforms the Bee Bottle into a living canvas where ravishing cherry blossoms bloom.

[...] Taein Song imagines twirling flowers made from three highly symbolic colours. Enhanced by touches of neon and iridescent paint, the white reminds the snow of the past winter, the pink of the sakura flowers recalls the present and the breath of spring, while the soft green heralds the arrival of summer.

In 125 ml plus 30 ml travel spray and funnel; 3,534 bottles were made, $880.

(If you want to drool over past editions, see 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, and 2018).

Geez. I would like to smell this at some point. Do they ever release a dab where mere mortals might as smell it, I wonder? That bottle is very pretty.

I do not know if there are testers outside of Guerlain boutiques, but somebody here probably knows.

My local department store counter usually has testers of these limited edition releases.

A “dab” would probably only set you back $50 or so..!😀
