Lazy 3-day weekend poll ~ what’s in your shower, edition 9

Posted by Robin on 27 July 2024 193 Comments

Lush has dropped another limited edition body spray collection, including one scented with their popular Lemony Flutter cuticle cream: "If your day’s turned sour, and you crave a sweet lemon body spray to lighten the mood, reach for a double dose of zesty tagetes oil and Sicilian lemon oil", 200 ml for $40. (Other options: Sticky Dates, Space Girl, Peaches, Passion and Grape Soda.)

I’m scenting the 1966 Stones song I Am Waiting. (Like many people, I first heard this song many years later, when Wes Anderson used it in his 1998 movie Rushmore.) I’m in Astier de Villatte Grand Chalet…

No compelling evidence

But researchers in Germany who had men sniff women’s body odour found no compelling evidence that it was more attractive when the women were at their most fertile. And they saw no variations in the odour’s chemical makeup linked to peak fertility.
