Sotd is another steal that I got 40% off from the airport – Kilian Moonlight in Heaven. Sparkly and spicy opening of pink pepper and cloves, followed by a fruit salad of mango, peach and coconut and faint tuberose. There is also a vanillic, creamy undertone that smooths everything out.
I am lighting my BBW Candy Apple Cauldron candle. I will switch to Vampire Blood later. I am trying to get as much Halloween scents in as possible before they feel “outdated” in 2 days!
I love the description of your SOTD. The Kilian lipsticks are pretty special, too-tempted to buy one just for its beautiful packaging.
I’ve been burning my BBW Leaves this week and probably will until Thanksgiving. I have so many pine scents for over the holidays, I don’t think they will get used up this year. That’s okay. There is always next year, right?

I’m with you on pine scents. I still have a bottle and a half of Diptyque’s Sapin room spray from last year. I aim to at least finish the opened bottle.

We have rain! After a very rainy spring and summer, we haven’t had rain at all this month, so we have been needing it. I’m in London, from my Gallivant discovery set. Pretty, but more a spring summer scent.
We are having our driest October in recorded history…they have moved us from moderate to severe drought. So do enjoy your rain!

Wearing hedonist which I love but is sweet so I tend to wait for color weather to wear it. It seems too much when it is warm. I love the flankers of it too.

I heard back from one of the clients mentioned yesterday. I passed their test! Moreover, they even gave me my scores (rated from 1 to 5). My overall score is 4, and I got 5 in 10 categories out of 14, and 2 in only one category. I asked them if they can provide examples of errors in that one failed category, so that I can learn and improve. And there is still an interview. Generally, I feel more confident about written assessments than about interviews.
At the very least, now I know I did not fail all three tests.

Today’s perfume choice for luck, peace and serenity is Carthusia 1681. I was thinking that I should save it for Friday, but I honestly love it so much that I might just wear it for the rest of the week. And then switch to something else for Election Day, because I don’t want to inadvertently create negative associations. Y’know — just in case. (Hey, I just noticed that autocorrect capitalized Election Day for me. I was going to be lazy about it.)
Just in case. Ack. Not going to think about it.
I, like SheriG, was going to save my choice today for Friday, but I grabbed the wrong lotion to pair with what I was going to wear. So, today I am in my favorite perfume Iris Poudre. That’s okay as I do need some luck, peace and serenity as I do a presentation tonight on Alzheimer’s disease to some nursing students. It will be fun. It is at the college I graduated from over 40 years ago.

Today’s choice for the CP today is Estèban Classic Chypre. This has long been a favorite of mine. It’s more of a quiet chypre rather than of the bombshell category. I can wear it all year round, and it seems right. Can’t say that with many frags!
It’s been so dry here that we had brush fires all over the region early yesterday. It was unnerving. We have some beautiful sunrises over the harbor here, but not as dramatic as yesterday’s:

Preparing for Halloween tomorrow-my youngest and I are going to be cowboys. All I had to do with shop in my closet since I own several pairs of cowboy boots and have a fringe leather jacket. I have a beautiful necklace that I bought in Texas close to 20 years ago that I believe was hand made and still in great condition.
I wore Shalimar yesterday and today I am in Encens Mythique.

I’m wearing Guerlain’s AA Figue-Iris. It’s a light scent that does well in warmer weather, and today is promising to be an improvement on our winter relapse of the last couple of days.
It also goes with my new hair colour. My current stylist is lovely, but also a bit random, so I’m never entirely sure what I might get – I asked for a lilac tint and it’s more like ultraviolet, but it’s a fun colour 🙂 .
Oh fun. I want a lilac tint but since my hair is already dyed I have no idea how it would come out.
Did someone (ringthing and Robin) say White Cube? I’m wearing it today. It’s pouring rain here and the leaves are piling up on the ground, but I don’t want to rake in the wet. Hoping for a day or two of sunshine!

It’s super warm (for me) today, low 80s, the highest I can take with the windows open—so I broke out my favorite hot weather scent, La Haie Fleurie by L’Artisan. I’d been trying to push it to the back of the closet since I worn a fourth of a 100ml bottle just over this summer. It’s glorious! It’s one of those things that makes me feel I COULD have a signature scent. I really could if it’s this one. Beautiful—bring it back L’Artisan!

I’m in Babycat from a sample provided as an extra in a swap with a lovely NST perfumista. I really like this one: soft suede and vanilla with a little cedar humming in the background. Stays at just the right level for my nose.
Babycat seems to be a polarizing fragrance here at NST. Some people love it and others loathe it.
I had a rough morning, but wearing Hermès Osmanthe Yunnan made my day a little better.
Now I am in my pajamas, ready to watch an Italian-French movie called Alla vita (my sister highly recommended it). I am in Love, Chloé. Both the scents I’ve worn today bring me peace and (when I am in a good mood) happiness…

I saw a bag of the Nerds Gummy Clusters at Target today and put in my cart. I checked the price and it was a little bit more than I wanted to spend. Meanwhile, I have zip zilch nada candies so I may stop by Wegmans tomorrow morning, maybe … and I’ll probably spend more $s. Le sigh …
I won’t be giving out Halloween candy this year. There were a lot of “Trunk or Treat” events in the area over the weekend.
I noticed that Target was almost out of Halloween candy on Monday…
I’m not doing it either. We usually don’t have any or very few. There are so many events around like the trunk or treat that you mentioned.

SOTD = Burberry Brit for Women EdT. Love the lime and sugared almond notes in this! I have the clear bottle with the white plaid pattern. Used to wear it as a summer perfume when I first got it, but it works quite well in cold weather too.

We had a surprise district visit today. I swear I get so nervous when the higher ups talk to me, I end up sounding like a moron.
I started out the day in Angel Innocent. My coworker though was wearing some middle eastern gigantic smelling perfume so I couldn’t even smell myself. I stopped at Sephora after work to smell the new Merit perfume. It’s a gauzy lipstick iris smell with just a hint of ambroxan. I liked it.
Don’t worry about what those higher ups think of you. They probably meet so many people at once faces & names blend together.
I’m wearing an easy scent today, Estee Lauder Sensuous Nude. Just enough after my covid and flu shots. I’m much better today, just a bit of tenderness at the injection site. The flu shot made me a bit stiff and sore in the night, but miraculously by morning, that was gone.
Glad that at least one of your arms is feeling OK now.
Well, I asked for 1 injection in each arm, but she did both in the same one. Thankfully I feel much better today.
