Akro Glow ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 15 June 2024 7 Comments

Akro, the niche line of perfumer Olivier Cresp, has launched Glow, a new fragrance.

The perfect fragrance for glow-getters.

Thanks to AKRO’s Glow eau de parfum, it’s never been easier to become the life and soul of the party. Inspired by those late-night escapades where you can try on a new character among a sea of strangers, this warm and sensual scent ensures that every evening is one to remember.

The notes include pink pepper, incense, amber and vanilla.

Akro Glow is available now at Harrods in the UK, in 30 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

They seem to have lost the plot a bit but this doesn’t sound bad.

Could be fun, could be dull, hard to tell from the description.

Guessing she doesn’t own the trademark? Also no idea if that is still on the market.

Robin, have you tried any Akro fragrances? I have a feeling you’d like quite a few if them. Glow is definitely a reworking of Cresp’s very own Gloria he did for Cacharel.
I’d love to hear what you think of my favourites — Infuse (gorgeous smokey citrus tea), Haze (camphoraceous mountain herbs), Smoke (cured tobacco meat, ha!), and Night (sensual, slightly BO rose, cough cough cumin).

Dusan, I try very few new (as in, almost none) fragrances these days and make zero effort to get any, and to boot do not keep much track of what few things cross my path. So I am not positive I haven’t but if I have I don’t remember, sorry!

Hope you and yours are doing well 🙂

There’s so much perfume these days that it’s getting increasingly hard to separate the wheat from the chaff. And even when you know where to look, you can’t work up the enthusiasm to actually sample the good stuff because it’s so easy to be blasé in the oversaturated fragrance market.
Akro was a chance like at first sniff as the brand had been available to me for two years before I decided to give it a try. I’m happy that I did since there are a few I loved.
Anyways, Happy New Year to you and yours — wishing you a year full of love and contentment! 🤗
