French niche line Parfums de Nicolaï has launched Une Fleur en Mai, a new limited edition soliflore fragrance.
Une Fleur en Mai opens on a zesty green note with pearls of dew, heralding a resolutely floral heart of lily of the valley, slightly accented with jasmine on a base of oakmoss and white musk. In this fragile sprig of lily of the valley, it’s mainly the green note that is sublimated… It’s also the undergrowth note with its humus accents that perfumes the air. The scent of the flower itself is a rare subtlety, delicate in its freshness yet highly identifiable.
Additional notes include bergamot, rosemary, cut grass and rose.
Parfums de Nicolaï Une Fleur en Mai is available in 30 ml Eau de Toilette for €45, and is exclusive to the brand's online and boutique stores.

This sounds wonderful! I actually might need to order it. I need some Nicolaï candles, or so I tell myself.
The need for candles will be used as an excuse to browse the website, and the bottle of Fleur en Mai will be accidentally purchased.
On the one hand, I love LOTV, and would be excited to try this. Those 30mL bottles are perfect. But on the other hand, all those descriptors about “dew” and “cut grass” makes me think it could turn into a hot calone mess….
