L’Artisan Parfumeur Il Etait Un Bois ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 15 March 2024 11 Comments

L’Artisan Parfumeur will launch Il Était Un Bois, a new fragrance.

...discover Il Était Un Bois, the new fragrance that combines notes of vetiver with buckwheat and cedarwood accords.

An olfactory marquetry. Taking pride of place at the heart of La Collection, Il Était Un Bois is a fragrance inspired by a walk through the forest. As one dives deeper, the perfume explores all the different facets of the woods in an unexpected harmony.

Il Était Un Bois was developed by perfumer Caroline Dumur.

L’Artisan Parfumeur Il Était Un Bois will be available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Sounds interesting. I have never smelled buckwheat bread, Robin, but I have smelled a lot of kasha (Russian buckwheat) cooking on the stove in my childhood with Russian relatives. It’s a very unique smell and I’m curious how L’Artisan translates it into a perfumery note.

Yes…nutty / grainy smell, same as kasha.
