The first Guerlain bottle looks like an octopus. One of the members of the Guerlain fan FB group cut the strands of pearls off at the glass ridge dividing the domed part of the bottle from the sides. It looks much better.
My goodness, why buy it then? You’re basically paying for the decoration.
I think if they were shorter and ended at the same height as where the honeycomb metalwork does on the Aqua Allegorias, it would look less octopus, more crown.
