Van Cleef & Arpels Encens Precieux ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 20 February 2024 9 Comments

Van Cleef & Arpels will launch Encens Précieux, a new addition to the brands′s Collection Extraordinaire. Encens Précieux is not to be confused with 2018's Rêve d’Encens.

Encens Précieux was inspired by frankincense's 'land of origin' and promises to 'encapsulate the scorching heat of the desert'. The notes include incense, black and pink pepper, myrrh, leather accord, tobacco, amber and vanilla.

Van Cleef & Arpels Encens Précieux will be available in 75 ml Eau de Parfum.

Update: the description at Harrods...

A specific scene inspires the Encens Précieux eau de parfum by Van Cleef & Arpels. Perfumer Jordi Fernandez imagined a desert landscape scorched by the sun, the heat radiating onto the soil from which grows a frankincense tree, blooming in the hot air. Fiery, spicy and woody, this captivating scent embodies this evocative image, melting onto the skin with an ambery, balmy warmth and a complex composition.

The notes sound really good. If I wait long enough, I may be able to get it at e-store with a great discount.

      Yes, I haven’t paid retail for the 3 or 4 I own.

Might as well wait! Not sure when this one is coming out but should be soon-ish.

I tried and really liked Moonlight Patchouli from this line, but I have a FragranceNet travel spray. I could tell the quality was there, but my buy list is soooo long.

Oh, Bois d’Iris. I enjoy it a lot but I get a lot of sweetness out of it. I should compare it to Shalimar MI….

My Bois de Iris seemed to turn a little a couple years ago, just not as pretty as it used to be. I wtill wear it sometimes, but I think about getting a new sample to see if was yje juice or just my nose…
