Won’t surprise me if the samples sell out, so that was probably a good idea.

That’s a little soft enabling there, Robin! For my part, I could not click “buy” fast enough.

My samples are supposed to arrive tomorrow. I wonder if I will like them in the same order as the originals? Estee and White Linen are true loves, Azuree and Knowing are perfect when the mood is right, and Private Collection is one I appreciate but it never moves me as much as the other four do.

Well, it was hard to pick favorites. White Linen was my first “grown up” lady perfume. And I always loved the way Youth Dew smelled. I am an EL perfume superfan anyhoo. I think I will start with Private Collection when the samples arrive.

Hello MossyBerry, I am also a huge Estée Lauder fan. And your two favorites are mine too. I also favor Private Collection and PC Tuberose Gardenia. My mom wears Knowing and my Nana wore Beautiful. I always get excited when there’s a new release from them, even though none are as good as the post 90’s ones. I am looking forward to smelling those and reading what you think too.

Mine arrive tomorrow! I’m quite excited, since EL was “the” house for me in my formative years. Azuree was my first love, Knowing was my mother’s signature (the years of release make it seem it should be the other way around!), and I have at least a passing acquaintance with the other three.

Apparently Canada is where you want to be if you want the old scents. The Legacy Collection does not exist here.

I do have these on order, but don’t really remember the old scents. Confirmed the one place at the mall with EL perfume only has the Aerin out.

I too ordered the set. My all time favorites are White Linen and Private Collection that I still buy on EBay in their vintage versions. My mother wears Knowing. I am so curious to see the Frederic Malle treatment. I already thought that Synthetic Jungle was a contemporary version of Private Collection. Any updates yet for those who received it ? Thank you.

Okay perfumistas, my set arrived. I have only the faintest recall of most the original, with the exception of Knowing and White Linen. I need to spend more time with them, but the Knowing to my nose bears no resemblance to the scent, feel, and gravitas whawhawhaaaaa of Knowing (like that description?😂). It is a total bust for me. I tried it again a second time later yesterday, telling myself it was an entirely new scent. Still a no-way-Jose. The White Linen is definitely a sister to its earlier iteration. Again, less vavavoom, but recognizable. I can imagine that for those who like and wear the original, for some at least this might be a good addition to their collection.

Thanks for your feedback, Oakland Fresca! I was most curious about White Linen. Like MossyBerry, it was an early favorite. Glad it bears a resemblance to the original, but I’ll probably stick to my vintage mini. Now I’m wondering where the thing is…
I hope you enjoy the others in the set! 😊
