Guerlain has launched Les Extraits Signature, a new set of six fragrances — Rose Centifolia, Iris Pallida, Bergamote Fantastico, Vanille Planifolia, Jasmin Grandiflorum and Tonka Sarrapia  — in the L’Art & La Matière collection, highlighting the materials in the brand's "Guerlinade" accord.

Les Extraits Signature. High luxury, high concentration: the Guerlain signature turns to gold. Les Extraits Signature revisits the art of the Maison’s iconic signature, Guerlinade, by highlighting the six raw materials within it – rose, iris, bergamot, vanilla, jasmine and tonka bean – and revealing the golden number of each one.

Rose Centifolia ~ "Rose Centifolia Extrait 1 reveals the rose in its most perfect olfactory expression at Guerlain, unveiling a truly powerful signature from within. Overflowing with precious Grasse absolute, the rose’s power of attraction transcends beyond its extraordinary florality, in an ultimate concentration of 30%. The Guerlain Perfumers have shone a light on the intensity of the queen of flowers, exalting the spiced and honeyed facets inherent to rose absolute, while heightening them with plumes of frankincense and intense patchouli."

Iris Pallida ~ "Iris Pallida Extrait 6 reveals iris in its most perfect olfactory expression at Guerlain, unveiling a truly sophisticated signature from within. Abounding in precious, exceptionally powdery iris butter, its enveloping softness turns intense, in an ultimate concentration of 30%. The Guerlain Perfumers have enriched the characteristically powdery facet of iris with notes of almond and musk. This powdery softness is next swathed in a velvety, leathery note akin to white suede, then strengthened at its heart by the creamy texture of sandalwood."

Bergamote Fantastico ~ "Bergamote Fantastico Extrait 11 reveals bergamot in its most perfect olfactory expression at Guerlain, unveiling a truly intense signature from within. Acting inherently as a top note, bergamot exudes an intense freshness along with the powerfully ambery trail of a grand Guerlain fragrance, in an ultimate concentration of 30%. The Guerlain Perfumers have expressed bergamot in excess, strengthening the verdant bitterness of its petitgrain, the very essence of the bergamot leaf. Extending this intensity, a Guerlain signature ambery accord – the opopanine found in Shalimar – unveils a trail as potent as a base note, buoyed by the smoky and woody facets of guaiac wood essence."

Vanille Planifolia ~ "Vanille Planifolia Extrait 21 reveals vanilla in its most perfect olfactory expression at Guerlain, unveiling a truly delectable signature from within. Pushed to its farthest limit, an overabundance of vanilla is tinged with that Guerlain je-ne-sais-quoi that turns it into a magnificent fragrance, in an ultimate concentration of 30%. The Guerlain Perfumers have multiplied the headiness of vanilla by punctuating it with spiced notes. At the base, it is swathed in notes of musk and the famous opopanine, the legendary ambery accord favored by Guerlain."

Jasmin Grandiflorum ~ "Jasmin Grandiflorum Extrait 30 reveals jasmine in its most perfect olfactory expression at Guerlain, unveiling a truly radiant signature from within. Pushed to its farthest limit, the florality of jasmine dazzles with light and captivates with lusciousness, in an ultimate concentration of 30%. The Maison Perfumers have revealed an intensely Guerlain jasmine. Expressed in excess, the Grandiflorum jasmine communelle takes on candied notes of strawberry, exalted by the milky smoothness of sandalwood. For the first time at Guerlain, this jasmine heart shines a light on two innovative processes: CO2 extraction and “micro-liquid” extraction."

Tonka Sarrapia ~ "Tonka Sarrapia Extrait 75 reveals the tonka bean in its most perfect olfactory expression at Guerlain, unveiling a truly addictive signature from within. Bursting with natural Tonka and a hint of coumarin, the sumptuousness of the Tonka bean turns obsessive, in an ultimate concentration of 30%. The Guerlain Perfumers have exalted the almondy facet of Tonka bean by enriching it with bitter almond essence and a microdose of coumarin. Pushing addictiveness to its absolute limit, the Tonka bean turns fiery-hot when touched by vanilla, cacao and warm spices."

Guerlain Rose Centifolia, Iris Pallida, Bergamote Fantastico, Vanille Planifolia, Jasmin Grandiflorum and Tonka Sarrapia are $630 each for 50 ml.
