French niche line Parfums de Nicolaï has launched Iris Medicis Intense, a new ambery floral fragrance.
A tribute to Tuscany and la Dolce Vita.
Like a masterpiece, a silky light reigns majestically on the reliefs. On these noble lands, iris fields blossom and bitter oranges grow as far as the eye can see. An avenue of cypress trees frame these life-size works, leading to magnificent ochre-co- loured homes shaded by stately umbrella pines. Icons of the Mediterranean, Iris pallida, orange blossom and neroli adorn the fragrance with floral and slightly gourmet notes accentuated by sandalwood, vanilla and musk. A legacy of the work of Florentine tanners, leather adorns the perfume with a unique textured signature.
Iris Medicis Intense carries the sweetness of Italian living in its lingering trail.
Additional notes include galbanum, carrot seed and violet.
Parfums de Nicolaï Iris Medicis Intense is available in 30 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

And here we are with another iris scent. Someone please report on this. I have never had anything by this perfume house.
It is gorgeous! The iris is front and center, with a smooth and delicate leather note underneath. Suzan at Shop France described it as rich, floral, soft and that it “feels” expensive and I think she nail it.

I had Suzan at Shop France get it at one of the Nicolai boutiques in Paris on her last trip there.

I was just thinking I needed to smell a new iris… Maybe this is the fall ambery iris I’ve been thinking of.
There are perfumes I reminisce about and on some level I’m always fantasizing about finding that new/new-to-me scent that evokes an emotional response with similar notes. Attrape Coeur is one of those I reminisce about and this has related notes.
I can really talk myself into a blind buy, see how I did that?

Sounds amazing. I see they do 30 ml. Perfect. Might blind buy this as an autumn perfume. If I don’t like it, I don’t feel that bad about the blind buy, giving that it’s only a 30 ml.
