Byredo Rouge Chaotique ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 23 June 2023 4 Comments

Niche line Byredo will introduce Rouge Chaotique, a new gourmand oud addition to the Night Veils collection. Rouge Chaotique was inspired by the idea that beauty can emerge from chaos. The last in the Night Veils series was 2022's Vanille Antique.

“Rouge Chaotique” begins with rich saffron, succulent blackcurrant, acidic bergamot, and smooth leather top notes. At the fragrance’s heart, sugared gourmand touches are crafted from alluring plums and pralines, while intense agarwood, earthy patchouli, and spiced papyrus reside at the base for strong all-day longevity.

Additional notes include oakwood.

Byredo Rouge Chaotique will be available in 50 ml Extrait de Parfum. Look for it near the end of next week.

Anything with plums in it gets my attention, but this honestly sounds like JUST TOO MUCH.

      Strong, all-day longevity sounds headache-inducing.

I am done with oud anyway. It does certainly have the potential to be too much.
