Vilhelm Parfumerie Faces of Francis ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 31 May 2023 4 Comments

Vilhelm Parfumerie has launched Faces of Francis, a new fragrance.

Freely inspired by the mysterious triptychs of Francis Bacon, Faces Of Francis is a sulfurous journey between dream and reality, near and far, mystery and passion. Imagine you’re alongside the artist in the studio. What is inspiring him to create? He recalls this volcanic island, somewhere in the Mediterranean. He recalls the colors and smells of Tangier where pistachio mixes with saffron. He recalls all his past or imaginary trips that still awaken his senses. Inspiration is a fantastic journey between memories and desires in the present.

The notes include aldehydes, saffron, toasted pistachio, juniper wood, driftwood, oud wood, ambergris, cypriol, vetiver and styrax.

Vilhelm Parfumerie Faces of Francis is available in 3x10, 50 or 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

    Sounds nice!

The last one I tried from this line (which may not be the latest) was London Funk. London Funk was so off putting I did not want to buy anything where that was given away as a freebie, lest I subject anyone else to it.

Ha! I guess “London Funk” ought to be off-putting.

A sulfurous journey through a centuries-old, labyrinthine sewer system. She recalls the whiffs from perforated manhole covers. What inspires her to hurry by, holding her breath?
