Amouage has launched Amber Sogara and Santal Sohar, two new additions to The Attars Collection.
Santal Sohar ~ Dry woody; developed by perfumer Karine Vinchon-Spehner. "Powdery-green sweeps of Basil-Rose meet the spicy vermillion of Clove bark all dimmed in the mellow, gourmand sheen of Sandalwood. The golden aura of a thousand celestial lights glimmering over the ancient harbour of Sohar whence spices and sandal used to flow."
Amber Sogara ~ Floral amber; developed by perfumer Élise Bénat. "A crystal twinkle of Aldehydes uplifts the luscious silkiness of Rose Centifolia blooms caressed by the diaphanous muskiness of Ambrette. A canticle of light and might echoing still in the antic halls of Al Sogara."
Amouage Attars Amber Sogara and Santal Sohar are available in 12 ml; $540 each.

Hmmmm oddly the amber sounds better to me; ambrette is one of my favorite notes.
I may have splurged on the travel set of these and they are nice. The prices though….
The prices make me very happy that neither one really sounds up my alley.
