The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 24 April 2023 10 Comments

For fans of Weleda Skin Food (and, presumably, the smell of Weleda Skin Food, although they do not say if it is the same fragrance), the new Skin Food Ultra-Light Dry Oil: "Our unique bi-phase formula combines vitamin-rich oils with extracts of pansy, chamomile, and calendula for glowing skin and intensive moisture. The ultra-lightweight mist dries instantly for a dry to the touch finish." $20 for 100 ml at Weleda.

I love the color of the bottle except I have to figure out what I am allergic to in Skin Food. I’ve stopped all Weleda products, unfortunately.

Oh, no! I’ve never tried the Skin Food, but the Sea Buckthorn oil is a favorite summer indulgence. Hope you figure it out and can return to some of their products.

Worth knowing even if you never buy Weleda again.

The Skin Food is a bit heavy for my touchy skin (dry but still acne prone at almost 64 🙄) but Mr ringthing uses it and I love the scent. I also love a dry oil so I’ll check this out soon.

I like the Skin Food Light Nourishing Cream a lot! I went through a whole tube over the winter. hth!

I also use the original Skin Food for my cuticles and elbows, although it’s a bit heavy for my face unless I’m really parched for some reason (after a flight, etc.).

I don’t think I have tried the body butter, I should.

I put Savon Stories Ottoman Rose solid lotion on my feet now every night. It probably does not work as well as Skin Food but the smell is lovely. I am going to eventually buy the other fragrances.

I’m a big fan of the Original Skinfood – since I started using it several years ago the skin on my thumb no longer splits in the depth of winter. I also really like the Body Butter.
Extra Bonus: Weleda partners with Terracycle so you can return all the packaging for recycling.
