The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 12 April 2023 8 Comments

Marking as something I would not need even if was a bargain (hint, it's not) but that just looks sort of cool: a woven leather candle basket from Loewe. "Echoing the tactile finishes of LOEWE’s iconic bags, the Candle Basket features a woven basket and hanging strap crafted in durable tan leather." $965 (ack) at Loewe, where I am still hankering after the beetroot and tomato leaves candles.

Ha! I thought more of having it hanging in front of a window, maybe next to a hanging fern, but works either way 😉

It’s sort of shocking. But it’s hard to shock me with luxury prices these days, ha.

Malin+Goetz offers an herbal-y tomato candle I’ve been eyeing for $55. Worth a look! 😊

The Loewe one is so much prettier! But yes, $85 for 170g is steep compared to the $55 for the 260g M+G.

Trader Joes has a Tomato Leaf candle out this season. Larger than their usual size; I think it has 2 or 3 wicks. I’m sure it isn’t nearly as nice as Loewe’s, but it’s also not nearly as expensive!

Thank you! I do not get to TJ as much as I used to but might be worth a trip.
