Kenzo Encens Lumiere ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 10 April 2023 3 Comments

Kenzo has launched Encens Lumière, a new unisex amber floral fragrance joining the Kenzo Memori collection.

Behind the sliding doors, a hiding place is revealed. A hut with mystical scents; that of the worn leather and the silk of kimonos, majestic dresses impregnated with incense sachets that geishas slip into the hollow of their sleeves to perfume themselves. A radiant interpretation of this fabric shelter, Eau de Parfum Encens Lumière, for women and men, accurately combines the smoky notes of Incense with the floral sweetness of Freesia and Saffron flowers.

Perfumer Karine Dubreuil-Sereni explains... "I endeavored to capture the olfactory sensations - as I imagined them - that one may experience in a mysterious Japanese teahouse. Incense is the very pillar of my creation. A noble material, it brings unique light as well as depth and elegance to this perfume. Its contrasting scents first exude sparkling top notes, before giving way to a warm and enveloping trail."

Kenzo Memori Encens Lumière is available in 75 ml Eau de Parfum.

Thank you Robin, it sounds interesting but Kenzo is no longer a house I expect much from.

I don’t either, but have not tried any of the Memori series, possibly it’s better? Or not 😉
