The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 17 March 2023 4 Comments

From Acqua di Parma, a green collector bottle of Colonia: "A bold new interpretation by designer Samuel Ross in a limited edition Colonia design featuring new disruptive elements to rediscover and highlight Colonia as the icon of craftsmanship and Italian style. Bridging Italian and British modernism with flat, rich and bold colors, the series of unexpected and completely new creative elements highlights Colonia as an icon." $210 for 100 ml at Bloomingdales, where you'll also find the yellow and red editions.

Looks like a sticker was removed and the outside margin was left behind.

    Why??

I guess that’s what Samuel Ross wanted to do? I kind of like it — looks very modern — but I don’t like Colonia all that well.

Also guessing AdP needs to start doing more to attract a younger audience.

This talks a bit about his inspirations:

Okay, the artwork makes more sense now. Looking at the modern architecture images, I can kinda see the connection. The structure in Paris is amazing. Thanks for the link, Robin! ☺️

I don’t know how well Samuel Ross is frankly, since I pay so little attention to anything, but I’m kind of assuming there are people who will be interested because they know and love his work?
