A quick spot for Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Italian Love. (If you'd prefer to see some kissing, see last year's spot for Light Blue Forever; if you'd rather see David Gandy and Bianca Balti, here you go, and here's another).
The daily lemming

Another lemmable item from Diptyque's La Droguerie collection: the Odor-Removing Candle. "The odor-removing candle is based on a technology that targets and eliminates the molecules responsible for unpleasant odors. It replaces those with green and aromatic combinations of basil, mint and tomato leaf. A window onto a fresh and colorful vegetable garden." 190g for $70 at Nordstrom.
Monday scent of the day 6/13

It’s Monday (sorry), International Albinism Awareness Day and World Softball Day. Birthdays: W. B. Yeats, Dorothy L. Sayers. What fragrance are you wearing?
I’m tying the aromatic herbs in Eau de Guerlain to the medicinal plants grown by Shakespeare’s wife, Anne Hathaway, in the novel Hamnet by Maggie O’Farrell.
Reminder: 6/17 will be William Shakespeare Friday…
Wearable digital “auras”
The Alphameta collab involves wearable digital “auras”, customised digital and physical scents, and NFT-connected near-field communication (NFC) tags on bottles. Working with Paris-based art directors M/M, Byredo and Rtfkt are visually rendering 26 ingredients that represent emotions (such as acuity, harmony, naivety and virtue). These will be treated as digital collectibles, and will come in limited quantities and wearable via Rtfkt’s “avatar ecosystem”, which include its CloneX avatars. More details on the launch will be announced in July.

Lazy weekend poll ~ open thread, mid June 2022

Saturday is King Kamehameha I Day and Hugh Laurie’s birthday; Sunday is Superman Day, Loving Day, and Anne Frank’s birthday. We’re marking it all with our usual open thread poll.
Talk about anything you like — the fragrance you’re wearing today, your favorite summer-weight tropical fragrance, whatever.
Or, ask a question about fragrance, then see if anyone else has asked a question that you can answer…
