Imaginary Authors In Love With Everything ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 25 October 2022 6 Comments

Indie brand Imaginary Authors has launched In Love With Everything. Like the other fragrances in the line, it was inspired by an imaginary book by an imaginary author.

Written in 1982, this electrifying novel about sex, drugs, and decadence in pre-Miami Vice Florida, follows a delinquent clique of teenage girls through nightclubs, roller discos, and seedy South Beach bars in search of anything to keep the party going. Driven by an inexhaustible enthusiasm, the girls navigate a series of potentially dangerous situations with naive ease, radiating their infectious light like a disco ball and turning even the darkest circumstances into a dance party. Lauded for its unflinchingly honest portrayal of strong, outspoken, resourceful young women whose sole motivation was to have a good time, the book stands in stark contrast to the male chauvinism of the era and still resonates today. Critics have called it “an essential examination of the joys of recklessness” and “an addictive story in which every sentence glistens with sticky sweet summer heat.”

WHEN TO WEAR THIS FRAGRANCE: This extremely versatile (and genderless!) fragrance is great for any time of day and any time of year but the blast of energy it possesses is ideal for whenever you’re feeling low or looking for a little boost of bliss to keep your body moving and your lungs laughing long into the night.

The notes include raspberry, citrus pulp, coconut palm sugar, Madame Isaac Pereire (rose variety), sandalwood, tropical punch and stardust.

Imaginary Authors In Love With Everything is available in 14 ($38) or 50 ($95) ml Eau de Parfum.

I was born in 1982! The idea of coconut, punch, and “stardust” sounds terrible to me, but I sort of want to smell it anyway.

Ha, I was not born in 1982 but agree with “sounds suspicious” and “want to try it”.

The perfume sounds too sweet for me, but I do want to read that fake book.

I love Imaginary Authors but this scent doesn’t sound appealing to me at all. Raspberry in perfume has triggered massive headaches, but like Desirae, I want to read the book!
