As part of a series of collaborations, the LES EXCLUSIFS DE CHANEL fragrance collection highlights their legendary expertise in the form of exceptional coffrets.

The fourth act* in a project that is dear to the House, SYCOMORE Extrait and its Baccarat crystal bottle are presented in a coffret that has been custom embroidered by Lesage. In a display of craftsmanship that dates back to 1764, the 50 ml collector's bottle has been sealed to preserve the purity of the fragrance using the traditional art of baudruchage. It is housed in a cream wood grain coffret that looks as though it was carved from a sycamore forest. On the inside, the entirely handmade lining depicts the forest floor, transected by rays of light, and echoes the olfactory atmosphere of this new Extrait. Embroidered on the canvas, the marquetry featuring wood shavings and samaras evokes the majestic tree; amethyst bicone beads and brush-dyed passementerie bobbles symbolise pink peppercorns and juniper berries; the threads and bugle beads are suggestive of fibrous vetiver roots. Designed and produced by Maison Lesage, this collector's piece showcases the laborious, one-of-a-kind craftsmanship of the Parisian embroiderer.

€10,500 for 50 ml; 20 pieces were made.
