It's Almost-Friday, Star Trek Day and International Literacy Day. What fragrance are you wearing?
Me: I am happily taking more cp points with Parfum d'Empire Azemour Les Orangers.
Reminder: on 9/9, wear a fragrance with a hay note. If you prefer, substitute any old cereal grain, or anything that calls to mind a fall harvest (the Harvest Moon will be on Saturday). (We did a similar project in 2016.)
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2022, where I'll try (but obviously sometimes fail) to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

I’m trying Idyllwild for the first time, from a sample that I got free from a special that Ministry of Scent was running a while ago. Love the rhubarb in this.
That’s a nice one.
One of my favorites….I find that I wear often and year round.
Hi NST! Wearing Yesterday Haze today and giving myself partial points because it reminds me of apple picking aka a fall harvest thing….I’m going to try adding CB Gathering Apples to the mix. It’s a beautiful clear, cool morning here and Larry the cat is sleeping on the open windowsill with his belly to the sun, life is good today. My heart goes out to those suffering from the extreme heat.
Oh, betcha those layer well, but do report back.
Beautiful cool morning here too, feels like fall.
I always enjoy hearing anecdotes about Larry the cat! 🐈
I am still in Armenia and loving every minute of it. Visiting exhibits, going to theatre, spending my time in the cafes doing nothing.
I made a little damage and bought the Voskanian Peche Cypree following your advice. It will make a good souvenir from the trip.
That sounds yummy! So glad your trip is going well.
So glad you are having a great time Hera!
Sounds like my kind of vacation! How lovely that you will have a special fragrance to remind you of it.
Yay for a fragrant souvenir!
Happy Thursday! Joining the Volutes crowd in the edt.
This will be my SOTD tomorrow!
And you will smell sublime!
Good morning.
Sotd is Lush American Cream. One of my favourite Lush scents.
Going to be making devil’s food cake today. SO excited.
Currently on my second mug of black coffee.
I love American Cream!
A Chantecaille week in Vetyver today!
Also in their bronzer and eye shadow
Working on lots today for volunteering…
Listening to Philip Glass
Sending get well wishes to the Queen! May she recover quickly
I’ve never tried their Vetyver, although I do love a couple others. How do you like it?
Light, citrusy
Perfect for a summer day
Sounds nice! On the sniff list it goes. 😁
I love Chantecaille’s lippies, too. Vetyver is a nice, fresh one!
What are your favorites ? For the lipsticks
I like the Lip Chic. “Glossy & Lightweight.” Gypsy Rose and Dahlia are my favorites. The Le Matte Stylo fat lip pencils are nice too. They’re more saturated. Snapdragon and Aster are my favorites!
Waiting patiently for this heat wave to be over. I have some baking I want to do, but too hot.
I think today will be a good day for Hiram Green Lustre.
I love Lustre! So classy.
Are you in line to get anything from Kay?
Sorry I don’t understand the comment?
Hurricane/Typhoon Kay could brush against the West Coast later on this week. Some places are expected to get a break from heat and some much needed rain.
Oh, duh! Wasn’t aware the storm was named Kay. Yes, we are getting a nice breeze now and we had rain this morning. It is feeling coller already.
A rose in honor of the Queen.
Channeling the autumn vibes in PG Indochine. I thought I remembered it having a hay note, but now I think not.
I’m starting to crave the cozy scents even though it’s still pretty summery here.
I will have to wear my Indochine one of these days. It is in plain sight inside its packaging.
I’m enjoying the cooler fall nights, and getting into the new school routine.
SOTD is Sienne l’Hiver, which allegedly has a hay base note that I’ve never smelled. (Not smelling it now, either.) Maybe my nose is just oblivious. Apparently my ears are, because when we were out with friends last week one of them told me that “of course” there is an accordion in “Punk Rock Girl”, which he had tried to cover with some friends. “No way, I’ve listened to it a thousand times and have never heard it,” I said. He told me to listen again, and you bet, there is totally and unmistakably an accordion part that I’d never noticed but definitely adds to the song.
I love Sienne l’Hiver! On my fb list. My folk/punk heart had to go have another listen to Punk Rock Girl. I can’t hear the accordion (yet)!
A carnation sort of day, and I stared at Old Spice, Guerlain Terracotta Voile d’Ete, Caron Coup de Fouet, and CdG Carnation for a solid minute before grabbing the last. It’s so violent at the outset, and sometimes that’s what you need. (It’s what I expected and did not get from SL Vitriol d’Oeillet, a huge disappointment.)
I watched Jaws for the first time in my life this week and spotted a bottle of Old Spice being sniffed from a cloth as they are emptying buckets of fish heads to lure the shark.
Wow, good eye:). I have seen this a few times and never noticed the Old Spice..I may have to watch it again LOL
In Orangea again, from my sample. Enjoying it, but do not need it. I am CP adjacent because this perfume has notes of, wait for it, petit grain! 😉 😉 😉
😄
Petit points for you!
Excellent!
I bought another Mary Renault book today. Every time I read her I think of how you introduced me to one of my favorite authors.
What a sweet thing to say! I had the same thing happen to me regarding the friend who introduced me to Elizabeth Gaskell so many moons ago. I only wish she had been as prolific as Renault.
Currently in no 5 body products layered with Eau Premiere. Trying to get birthday gift ideas for my nephews. Before I know it, November will be here and that means their birthdays.
How old will your nephew be?
One will be 14 and the other will be 12. Both born in November.
It’s Dryad for me this morning. Hay isn’t among its “official” notes, but I swear I get a hay vibe from it. Tomorrow will be either Cuir Pleine Fleur or Azemour, depending on mood and weather. BdJ contributor Patricia says they both have a hay note, and that’s good enough for me!
Chergui and cp compliant on a gorgeous mild Spring day.I had some errands to run and was asked twice what I was wearing! It’s a beautiful perfume, and I include the color of the juice when I say this!
Happy Thursday!
XO’s
Do you smell hay in ir? I’m planning to wear Chergui on Friday after many years and don’t remember anything about what it smells like!
There is something hay-like,definitely,between the warm fuzzy caramel-like vanilla, the spices…the booziness. It’s like a roll in the hay while eating a cinnabon bun.🤭😉✌🏻🤣
Ha! Looking forward to finding out what that’s like
You are making me want to try it again. Lol!
I only tried it once many years ago and didn’t get any of that good stuff.
Remember to spray more than less!
Always!✌🏻😉🤭
Rest in Peace Queen Elizabeth II…
🌹✌🏻
I went to the local Nyons market this morning. We got more tomatoes, more garlic, shallots, organic mirabelles and grapes.
I have only one perfume here which I will wear tomorrow but I can relay from Duty-Free that I smelled Les Rivières de Cartier and while the other two made no impression Insouciance I found very effervescent and so easygoing but it might lack longevity, will have to test again.
Your holiday sounds wonderful. Such a beautiful location for late summer.
Thank you Kanuka, it’s a bountiful season and less hot than July and August.
Some of the plums here have been spectacular this summer.
So glad you have good plums too. Next time we will try Reine Claude plums.
Reine Claude are my second favourite after Mirabelles (which we can’t get here in Spain, but I love them in Germany).
I start each day with fresh fruit and Greek yoghurt for breakfast and I love following the seasons from late Spring (when we have a few weeks of nisperos/loquats breaking the monotony of all-year fruits) through the year. Now we are on Reina Claudia greengages and chumbos/prickly pears with, from memory, just kakis/persimmons to go before the reduced Winter selection starts the cycle off again.
a guy on Basenotes has been raving about Insouciance too, it must be a good one!
I didn’t expect to like it that much, only potential problem is longevity.
So, so, hot. Monday it hit 111 F at my house, Tuesday and Wednesday 104, today feels like it will be hotter than yesterday, it was 86F at 7 am. At least the power and thus the air conditioning is still working, although we have been getting browned-out every afternoon and evening this week. Bring me my fainting couch.
SOTD is Banana Republic Vintage Green.
Wish we could send our weather down the coast! I hope the power manages to make it through.
How awful. 🥵 Do take care of yourself!
Bletch. Wish I could send you cool breezes and gentle rains.
It’s the last if my 2 days off and I am happy to report that I have done nothing at all. Nothing! Not even laundry. I just needed a little break from it all.
My sotd is Flowerbomb Ruby Orchid. I tested out the new J’adore alcohol free perfume. It’s very nice. The mist feels like water on skin but comes out milky. It smells like the original was sprayed in a glass of water. I think it would be good for spring. A downside though is that it left my skin with a sticky feeling.
For hajusuuri.. I didn’t like any part of the new Prada. I thought it was chemically and cheap smelling.
Yay for doing nothing. How is that flanker of FB?
I like it. It’s much lighter and less sweet than the original.
Oh, that sounds like it’s very much worth a sniff, then.
Sounds good, thank you Lillyjo.
Glad you had a relaxing break. Doing nothing at all is good medicine.
I agree. It helped that the weather has been pleasant too.
Huzzah for doing nothing and having great weather to boot!
It’s been perfect out!
That’s terrible about the Prada. Thanks for reporting back.
Well try it if you see it. I tried it on 2 separate days just to be sure. If I was blindfolded I wouldn’t have guessed Prada. I might have guessed Coach or Michael Kors. ( great handbags, not great perfume)
I dug up an old mini of DSH Sud de France oil perfume. I don’t care for the possibly turned lavender and citrus top notes (under better circumstances I love that sort of thing), but the heart was beautiful until I accidentally washed it off. It felt quite hay-ish, and then it resolved into old books + aromatic remnants from the top, and then back and forth between that pair and just sunny dusty hay. Quite nice and utterly intimate sillage. Under many circumstances I like my perfumes personal, but this was quantitatively less fragrant than my unadorned skin. Which may help to explain how one could accidentally wash it off. Oh well.
Omg, so sorry for Queen Elizabeth passing!
She was a worldwide legend as a monarch.
Some era has ended today.
Wow, unbelievable.
It’s sad while not unexpected.
She was one of a kind.
I agree, Lucasai. RIP Queen Elizabeth II.
The end of an era. RIP to a great Queen.
Commando after a sniff n spray-a-thon at Sniffora. I tried Glorious Jasmine by Gucci..not really jasmine..not really glorious. Sprayed several Replica scents. Nice enough but none were lemmings other than the lemming I already have..By the Fireplace. Then I ended up spraying No 5 l’eau all over..as I guess I kinda liked that one some. I forgot what else I sprayed on me. All of this on top of the Elisire I sprayed on. Lol. I was bombastic..and right before church lol…oops..it’s OK no one was sittin by me anyway. I had that whole section to myself..probably a good thing as I may have bombed anyone by me lol. Not my fault that Sephora is like 2 miles from my church…and I just found this out. Enabled.
Might try another go at a homemade, iced hot cocoa to beat this silly heat wave..109f.
I find the Replicas pretty underwhelming myself. I remember everyone going crazy for Jazz Club a few years ago but that didn’t really do much for me.
Yeah Jazz Club to me, didn’t really live up to the hype.
Hello all!
Feeling cool and mysterious in my Tubereuse Criminelle, from the most recent Gratte-Ciel bottle. Not sure why, but there are so many of those bottles floating around at such a reduced price, and compared to my export bottle, the difference is negligible. I find the top notes so addictive, it’s hard not to keep respraying….
Stay safe everyone.
Does Tubereuse Criminelle have that intense menthol note up top?
It has a nasty ice pick note on me 😣
Me too.
It sure does. 💥
You smell amazing! I find those top notes addictive too (menthol and tuberose)
I’m tempted to buy a back-up, honestly. I want to spray with abandon!
I shouldn’t admit it, but I have 2 back-ups! I know, I’m (perfume) insane but I LOVE it! And it’s good to have company 🙂
2/3s of my collection is packed up and in storage, so I’ve been buying waaaay too much. But the prices for TC are crazy low right now….
Tomorrow I will be wearing what Robin is wearing today thanks to someone on here that was nice to send me several samples from this perfume house.
SOTD is one of my favorites which is Dame Cassis, Rose & Sandalwood. Several on here suggested I try this, and I am so glad I did!
If you have a FB of your SOTD, you did good! That one has been sold out for a while.
Yes, I do. I hope he keeps it. I was wondering if he was going to discontinue that scent.
I was sorry to hear that Queen Elizabeth has died, but happy that she died at home with the people who loved her.
It’s cool enough (finally) to wear some of my heavy hitters, so I’m in Salome today and loving it. Tomorrow will be Azemour, I think it is the only one I have with a hay note.
I just saw on fragrantica that Salome does, too. 😉
Winter doesn’t appear to be moving any time soon and we are all grumbling about the cold and grey, aching joints and generally feeling old and worn. I made a lemon and lavender cake yesterday to cheer myself up. It’s basically any lemon or vanilla cake recipe with a heaped tablespoon of chopped lavender flowers added to the mix at the end. Icing was lemon with more lavender chopped and scattered on top. Off to the park to chat ( teeth chatter) with my friend. Our Covid cases have dropped way down so hopefully we can move inside and sit by a heater one day soon. Wearing Green Wheat and Meadowsweet from JM English Fields series.
https://www.houseandgarden.co.uk/recipe/lemon-and-lavender-cake
I used fresh lavender , so used more as dried is stronger. Also, I didn’t follow the instructions properly ( didn’t use a food processor) but it still worked.
This sounds dreamy good. In my old town, I could find lots of fresh lavender..not here though..would have to use dried. I love this lav and lemon lemonade they have at my fave cafe. But the fave cafe is closed till late this year to a renovation or something..boo but money saved lol
I hope you and your friend will be able to sit in spring warmth soon.
R.I.P. Queen Elizabeth II. So sad to hear the news.
Just sprayed on Floris London Honey Oud and watching the news since I am at home today.
Happy almost Friday, everyone!
How do you like Honey Oud? I loved it when I first smelled it and I am not a big fan of oud.
I like Honey Oud, since the oud is very soft on me. That makes the scent very enjoyable. I love oud as a note, as long as it is not too prominent and overwhelming.
How are Yei and your Mom doing?
Thanks for asking, Jalapeno. I wish I could say they are better, but they are both declining fast, especially Yei. He is doing really bad.
Aw, I am so sorry to hear that. Rough times for you all.
Not easy at all, but I am trying to stay as calm as possible.
It’s a hard time for you, pl67. I’m thinking of you. I am sure you know what’s best for Yei, and I am sure he knows you are helping him.
Thank you, MossyBerry. I am trying my best to keep Yei comfortable, until I say goodbye. I hope he feels all my love and care until the end.
I’m sorry pl67.
Thank you, Lillyjo!
Sending you big hugs.
Thank you, Cazaubon!
Big hugs to you.
Thank you, Hajusuuri!
I’m so sorry, pl67. I’m sure Yei knows how much you love him.
Thank you, AnnE. I hope he does.
I’m reading late, but sending you big hugs! Yei knows how much you love him ❤.
Joining the CP today in Oeilleres by Robert Greco. Another weird green thing from Marc-Antoine Corticciato, but this is on the animalic side and doesn’t have the innocent feeling of Mal-Aimé. Funny that the cumin in it doesn’t bother me, because that’s a note that usually sends me running. In this case, it adds some sexy dirt, but I’m not getting sweat at all. It’s cool enough today for it to be wearable, yay! Summer is definitely over.
I would rather have sexy dirt than cumin 😆
😅
So what makes “sexy dirt” sexy?
🤔 I’m awful at teasing out notes, but it’s like kissing a lover when you’ve both been working in a garden. There’ are odors of green and dirt, and warm skin. Maybe even sweaty skin, but not armpit stinky sweat, more like just their-skin-you-can’t -get -enough-of sweat. 😎
Fabulous description.
Aww, thanks!
Rest in peace, Queen Elizabeth II.
It’s lovely here in NYC, mild and warm with a light breeze hinting of fall. I pulled out my sample of Atelier Materi’s Narcissus Taiji which has notes of both hay and bran and suits the season perfectly! After my first wearing, I set it aside to try again. I very rarely do that these days, but this one is oddly compelling to me. It’s so well-blended that the tuberose (my nemesis) and pear (not a fave) don’t stand out on my skin in the least. I’m very impressed as I’ve only experienced that in vintage perfumes. I’m really enjoying it!
There’s definitely a hint of autumn on the breeze here in NJ, too.
Thanks for that info, I hadn’t thought of Narcisse Taiji. Will pull my bottle out for tomorrow.
You’re welcome. Thank you for writing it correctly, which I somehow neglected!
Sad news about the Queen. She was the head of state for New Zealand, now we’ll have a King for the first time in 70 years.
I’m trying to think of an appropriate perfume – something from a British brand, a rose as the symbol of England, or something more mournful like a churchy incense. I’m leaning towards Bois d’Encens at the moment.
Yeah I was thinking about that..so the King will be the head of state for Canada too now? and whatever other countries/land she was head of state of? She owned a lot of land.
Yes, the Canadian head of state is now King Charles III. Not that anyone really pays much attention to it. 🙂 But they’ll have to change all the photos in public buildings.
And on the money too? It will be interesting to see which parts of the commonwealth will try for independence now the queen is gone. Idk I see some just trying to break away, become independent and succeeding. As times have changed so much since she first took the throne. Just my thoughts. Historical times this year.
I expect a lot of the Caribbean countries to cut the ties – some had already lost patience and started the process last year and this year.
I’m sad about the Queen too. There are so few leaders of integrity nowadays. Her whole life was dedicated to service, not money or personal gain. I admired her.
Jasmin et Cigarette today, so apparently CP compliant, but this is just really delicate and fleeting on me. Is that typical? I’m using a dabber from a discovery set; I just upended the vial against my skin five times.
Processing the news about the Queen — and pulling for Charles.
Re: yesterday’s doctor’s visit, I waited another 10-15 minutes after I’d posted to NST, so was seen about 30 minutes past my appointment time — and before most of the people who had been waiting longer, so not quite sure what was going on but they were probably seeing different providers — but then was in and out in about ten minutes, with a cortisone injection and a set of exercises to do at home (I’ve been seen at this practice before so they chose not to do new X-rays, which was fine with me). I am almost pain—free for the first time in four months.
I think I will join others in wearing something British tomorrow — either Penhaligon’s or Ormonde Jayne.
Jasmin et Cigarette fleeting and delicate? Not on me, that’s for sure. It’s an all-day commitment if I choose that sample.
It’s very fleeting on me too – not sure if that’s my chemistry at work or a newer reformulation. I remember smelling it several years ago when it first came out and it being stronger but I’m not sure if that was my uninitiated nose or the initial (stronger) version.
Glad to hear pain has lessened.
Very sad to hear about the Queen. I think history will remember her well.
Hey, hey, HAY! I’m in SSS Equestrian and CP complaint. ✌🏼
Happy to see you posting today Deva! I noticed your absence. Hope things are OK.
All good, thanks for your concern! I’m in a mostly “no phone zone” these days…📵
Heh, that means you’re not getting spam calls and texts! 🤬
LOL. Twins, one day apart!
Hello Deva!
I’m sorry too to hear about Queen Elizabeth II’s passing. It’s impressive to me she was still doing her duty at age 96 just two days before her death by meeting with and appointing a new Prime Minister! What a life she had.
Today I wore Fleur de Liane, thinking it’s the L’Artisan with a hay note, but I’m obviously wrong. I don’t care that much for this one; those green notes must be the culprit. It’s made me sneezy all afternoon.
Yesterday was a very tough day as I took my oldest kitty, Miss Mina, a tortoiseshell, to the vet because she had rapidly deteriorated over the long holiday weekend. She was very thin and weak and couldn’t even really hold up her head any more. We made the decision to put her to sleep. Even though it was clearly for the best, I cried off and on all day. She was with me almost 18 years, ever since she was a small kitten. I do have other cats but her presence was distinctive and I miss her.
Sending you great big hugs, Calypso. You gave Miss Mina a beautiful life
So sorry that you had to make that decision Calypso. It doesn’t get any easier, does it? Hugs. 😿😿
I am so sorry, Calypso. Sending you peace and comforting hugs.
I’m so sorry for the loss of this loving, constant companion. Sending more hugs to you.
It’s so hard saying goodbye to a furry friend, but you know at least that she had a wonderful life.
So sorry, Calypso.
I’m sorry for your loss Calypso.
Sending you a hug. I am sure Miss Mina felt your love and care all her life.
I’m so sorry for your loss, Calypso. Big hug.
I’m so sorry about the loss of your kitty. Big hugs to you.
Miss Mina sounds like a real character and a big part of your life. What a sad day . Sending you love.
So sorry to hear about your big loss, Calypso. I’m adding to the hugs and condolences here!
I am so sorry for your loss, Calypso. 18 years with an animal friend is a really long time. It’s never easy.
Wearing L’Interdit Nocturnal Jasmine. Sad the Queen has passed but joy when I think about her amazing reign and life.
My sister-in-law is starting inpatient chemotherapy today to shrink some liposarcoma masses before attempting surgery. They took several biopsies yesterday. Grateful they were able to get her scheduled quickly and hoping she responds well to the treatment.♥️
Sending positive health vibes for your SIL!
Wishing the best to your sister-in-law!
I wish your SIL well.
What do you think of your sotd?
Sending well wishes to your SIL.
Healing vibes to your SIL!
Good luck to your SIL. I hope the tumours shrivel up and she doesn’t feel too unwell.
I hope all goes smoothly with your sister in law!
RIP Queen Elizabeth II. A monumental titan has passed. Her reign was truly a “second Elizabethan Age”. King Charles III of Great Britain sounds a little strange.
A lovely late summer day here, with puffy white clouds in a blue sky. The rain has left, hopefully headed across the Atlantic to the parched shores of Europe. Enjoying a day or possibly two without the dang humidity.
SOTD = 19-69 Female Christ EdP, from the sample stash and a kind NSTer. I wanted incense today, and I definitely got it. This is so in my wheelhouse.
I agree with you on the King Charles III comment. I’m hoping he would do the right thing and abdicate; however, judging by his parents’ ages in death, he could have a good 15+ years reign.
I don’t think I’ve ever tried a 19-69 perfume although I may have been influenced by IG talks about it not playing nicely in the interwebs.
Knowing what I do of British history (thanks to some of my teachers and professors!), the name Charles isn’t terribly auspicious for a king. Eeeeps.
He’s got a massive task ahead of him.
Glad you are having some good weather too.
The rain was welcome, though. And I didn’t see any severe weather, so even better.
But it sure felt good to see the sun today.
I’m wearing Calligraphy Saffron today, just because it’s been ages since I’ve spritzed it. I tend to think of it as a cold-weather scent, because it’s very warm and spicy, but it is blooming quite nicely in the heat today.
It seems like some cold weather perfumes do well in the extreme heat!
Yes, and it can be such a pleasant surprise
Glad to hear that your clowder of kittens is doing well!
RIP Queen Elizabeth II. May her life inspire.
SOTD = Francesca Bianchi Sticky Fingers
Hay? Maybe, but not listed, but so good 🥰
I asked someone at work the other day about whether or not we may be asked to go back to work everyday. He asked me if I was on a 3 or 2 schedule. Ummm, there’s a 2 days a week schedule? Anyway, I did not let that distract me. He also asked how closely management monitors attendance. I know they do but my understanding is that it’s monitored quarterly and at a group level. Hopefully, more people are going in the regular 3 days a week or more because I don’t always do. I have a bit of time off coming and while they don’t count those days, I always feel kinda guilty not being in my 3 days. I won’t be feeling guilty anymore…
Is there a penalty if management finds someone isn’t working their required days?
None that I know of other than the embarrassment of being found out.
I would kinda be ticked off if I found out that there was a 2 days in office schedule had I been working a 3 days in office schedule.
I happened upon a “Sticky Fingers” smell-alike when I sprayed O, Unknown! and Profumum Roma Patchouly in close proximity. Beautiful combination!
I’m also leaning into the heat today with Arabie. It does nicely in the heat for me, with very judicious spraying!!
I had planned to wear Erawan tomorrow for CP, but I think I will end up going with a QE2 inspired choice. She was truly one of a kind and very inspiring. RIP.
Sometimes perfume & extreme weather matches are a balancing act.
A very nice thought. I knew I would be sad when she passed away, but I’m sadder than I expected. RIP.
Trying out Evernia tonight. This is the first blind buy of mine in a long, long time. Ormonde Jayne is almost always a hit with me.
I could really smell the Cassis upon the opening. The first 15 minutes felt humid, soft, and intimate. Not sure now, though, after about an hour. Very interesting creation.
I’m dying to try this as I love oakmoss — very interested to read your thoughts as you experience it!
I really wanted (want?) to love it, but it’s doing with some oakmoss centered fragrances do on my skin, which is veer into sour territory. I was hoping it would be cooler and greener, like Woman. But it’s more warm and pond water like. I don’t know if that makes sense.
I’m going to spray in on clothing or a scarf and see how it goes!
Not wearing it yet, but tomorrow I will claim full CP points for wearing Diane St. Clair’s First Cut, which is ALL about hay and the plants that grow in and around hayfields!
Today I wore the Violet Ida that was a birthday gift, and I love it. Also, it is a fitting tribute to QEII, may she rest in peace, since it is meant to evoke a woman in an English novel who “represents goodness, tenacity and morality.”
Ah, thanks for mentioning First Cut! I think I’ll wear that too!
