Givenchy MMW ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 16 June 2022 2 Comments

Givenchy has launched MMW, a new addition to La Collection Particulière. MMW was named for Matthew M. Williams, Creative Director of Givenchy since 2020.

A majestic and magnetic woody Eau de Parfum, crafted with noble Cedarwood Essence and sacred Palo Santo.

After an initial blast of freshness, the perfume rapidly unveils its true heart: a modern composition of deep and textured woods. Starting with Palo Santo, whose name means sacred wood in Spanish, the fragrance reveals smoky notes with an enveloping spicy and balmy warmth. This is combined with a refined duo of Cedarwood Essences: an unctuous Virginia Cedarwood and a strong and mysterious Atlas Cedarwood.

This association of Palo Santo and Cedarwood is enriched by Haitian Vetiver, Indian Sandalwood Essence, and Cardamom, alongside woody floral and powdery notes.

Additional notes include Iso E Super and Ambrox.

Givenchy MMW is available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum, $250.

Update: As of 2025, MMW is now called 3 Avenue George V...

Named after the Maison’s emblematic address, 3 Avenue George V embodies the bold talent of the designers who have forged the Maison’s identity. Rediscover your MMW perfume under its new name of 3 Avenue George V. Its olfactory signature remains unchanged.

Well, they’d be there even if they didn’t list them, look at it that way.
