Lancome Idole Nectar ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 13 May 2022 7 Comments

Lancôme will launch Idôle Nectar, a new flanker to the 2019 Idôle fragrance for women.

The notes for the floral gourmand include popcorn and hot caramel accords, along with rose and vanilla.

Lancôme Idôle Eau de Parfum Nectar will be available in 25, 50 and 100 ml.

Update: the description from Lancôme...

Idôle Nectar is our first neo-gourmand scent, blended with a floral blast of lusciousness. An avant-garde fragrance standing out with its rose soufflé and neo-gourmand popcorn accord. With sustainably sourced Isparta Rose and Bourbon Vanilla, we’ve created a scent that stands up for the future.

Our new power totem represents change in a bottle. From its core to edge, its glowing colour expresses the determination and optimism of a generation willing to lead the way for a better future. The bottle’s luxurious lines are emphasised by its holographic halo. An even bolder impact, creating a true object of desire. This fiery peach bottle serves as a powerful reminder to always pursue who you are meant to become.

Idôle Nectar was developed by perfumers Shyamala Maisondieu, Adriana Medina and Nadège Le Garlantezec.

I’d like to sniff it, but it strikes me a fall scent. Popcorn, hot caramel and vanilla don’t seem very “Nectar” ish to me? Nectar says fruit of some sort, or honey.

      Agree, it’s an odd choice.

Hot caramel and popcorn?!? That sounds a lot like What About Pop (House of Oud) but at a no doubt much more affordable price point. Definite sniff and potential buy for me! I just had to throw away two bottles of perfume that turned, so I’ve got the room.

I am tempering any expectations but wouldn’t it be lovely if this smelled like the original Miss Dior Cherie? Not a classic but definitely deserved better than Dior gave it.

Have no clue on this one, did sniff the original and another flanker which was meh. But the BOTTLES! They feel so good in the hand and I find them visually stunning. A must see in real life kind of bottle. My gawd, I think this may actually be my most favorite bottle ever-slim, elegant, classy! Everything I aspire to be but sadly, will never achieve! 😢

If Miss Dior Cherie and Tresor In Love had a baby?
