Roger & Gallet Collection d’Eaux Parfumees Bienfaisantes ~ reissues

Posted by Robin on 9 May 2022 7 Comments

Roger & Gallet has reorganized and relaunched their fragrance collection. Some fragrances are discontinued. The Collection d’Eaux Parfumées Bienfaisantes / Collection of Wellbeing Fragrant Waters now includes 8 fragrances: Bois d'Orange, Cédrat, Feuille de Thé, Fleur de Figuier, Fleur d'Osmanthus, Gingembre Rouge, Néroli and Rose. In addition, the 4 fragrances for men launched in 2019 are still being made, and the brand is still producing Jean Marie Farina cologne.

Cédrat ~ a reissue of the 2007 fragrance by perfumers Karine Dubreuil and Mathilde Bijaoui. "The freshness in the open air of a pure zest of citron rubbed with wild aromatic notes: cardamom, basil, thyme."

Bois d'Orange ~ a reissue of the 2009 fragrance by perfumer Dominique Ropion. "A cocktail of juicy, freshly picked citrus fruits that puts a smile on your face, enhanced by the woody sensuality of patchouli."

Feuille de Thé ~ a reissue of the 2017 fragrance Thé Fantasie developed by perfumer Alberto Morillas. "A warm and airy Ceylon black tea scent enhanced by the freshness of Calabrian Lemon."

Fleur de Figuier ~ a reissue of the 2013 fragrance by perfumer Francis Kurkdjian. "A warm fig pulp accord refreshed by the restful shade of the tree's leaves and the bittersweet note of grapefruit."

Fleur d'Osmanthus ~ a reissue of the 2011 fragrance by perfumer Nathalie Lorson. "A light brew of flowers with apricot scents enhanced by the powerful amber of benzoin."

Gingembre Rouge ~ a reissue of the 2014 fragrance by perfumers Alberto Morillas and Amandine Clerc-Marie. "A deliciously candied ginger note spiced up with bright pink berries. A tangy delight that immediately makes your mouth water."

Néroli ~ a reissue of the 2017 fragrance Néroli Facétie developed by perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin. " The summer warmth of Immortelle illuminated by the honeyed floral accents of Orange blossom."

Rose ~ a reissue of the 2007 fragrance by perfumer Angéline Leporini. "The carnal tenderness of the petals of the Damask Rose that stretches tirelessly over the skin like a soft balm."

Roger & Gallet Bois d'Orange, Cédrat, Feuille de Thé, Fleur de Figuier, Fleur d'Osmanthus, Gingembre Rouge, Néroli and Rose are available in 30 and 100 ml Eau Parfumée Bienfaisante / Wellbeing Water.

Thank you Robin, happy that Fleur d’Osmanthus is still available, and Bois d’Orange, both are the most important to me, the Néroli sounds lovely too.

Dominique Ropion, my goodness! I didn’t know he was responsible for the lovely Bois d’Orange. It’s very good to see the perfumers’ names listed and I am glad many of my favourites are still available. I guess these will be a lot more expensive than they were previously, but hey ho, on and on it goes.

I didn’t either, and I don’t think it was publicized at the time….ditto on a couple others here.

Can anyone give an opinion of the Feuille de Thé? I seem to be in a light, citrus-tea sort of mood…

I have a bottle of this (bought it last summer when the Extrait de Cologne range was being discontinued and heavily discounted here) and based on how it seems to me this morning I can say: citrusy opening (not really lemony, maybe more lime?) then after about 20 minutes it becomes quite spicy, almost dry (neither heavy nor warm) but it stays quite soft and wearable – nothing aggressive here. I haven’t tried many tea fragrances so I don’t know how it compares to other perfumes, but I think it’s good.

I was hoping beyond hope that they would include Oeillet Mignardise, my favourite soap in the entire world and something I’d love to own in sprayable form: I have other carnation scents but none of them is quite this. Maybe next year.
