It’s Tuesday and World Lion Day. What fragrance are you wearing?
I’m in vintage Hermès Calèche Eau de Toilette, because Aurora mentioned it yesterday.
Reminder: 8/13 is Alfred Hitchcock’s birthday (and Friday the 13th)…

My mom was a massive fragrance hoarder. She would buy so many fragrances, to keep herself, but also to gift to people, because when we would go back to the Ivory Coast to see family, we’d have to come bearing gifts. The ones I remember the most are the mini coffrets she would buy — little sets of vintage fragrance — and they were always either Lancôme, like O de Lancôme and Trésor, or Cacharel ones like Eden and Lou Lou. I would basically sneak into her cupboard, find the plastic bag where she kept them all, and smell all the little fragrances.

From Loewe, the making of the (Tomato Leaves) Wax Scented Candleholder, which is also a candle and actually requires a separate holder or plate (you can see the Beetroot version in one of my daily lemming posts, because yes, I'd like one, along with Cypress Balls, Honeysuckle, Liquorice, Coriander and Ivy.). Around $107, and you can see the whole collection here. The "regular" 170g candles in terracotta jars are $85.

Happy National Book Lovers Day! Most unfortunately it’s also Monday. What fragrance are you wearing? (And what book are you reading?)
I’m in Acqua di Parma Iris Nobile, in the original Eau de Toilette. And I’m in the middle of three books: The Warmth of Other Suns: The Epic Story of America’s Great Migration by Isabel Wilkerson, Autumn by Ali Smith and Something Fresh (the first in the Blandings Castle series) by PG Wodehouse.
