It’s Tuesday and Vita Sackville-West’s birthday. What fragrance are you wearing?

I’m in Frederic Malle ~~Une~~ En Passant, from an old mini that is no longer in tip top shape, for my President Lincoln and Miss Kim lilac bushes, which hardly bloom anymore because my husband planted a dogwood right next to them.

I love the scent of fennel, anise, and licorice; I think that’s really good. I remember when I was in high school, liking the smell of this Greek anise-flavored liquor called ouzo.
