It’s the last Tuesday in April. Birthdays today: Mary Wollstonecraft, Samuel Morse, Ulysses Grant, Coretta Scott King. RIP Alber Elbaz and Hester Ford. What fragrance are you wearing?
I’m out of town for the week and my fragrance usage will be minimal. I did wear a dab of Diptyque Philosykos to bed last night.
Reminder: April showers bring May flowers…whatever the weather, wear a spring floral on 4/30…

It’s the weekend, and we’re celebrating with our usual open thread poll, extended for an extra day — I will be on the road Monday, off to see my sister for the first time in over a year. I’ll be back on Tuesday. (Meanwhile, the swapmeet is open, and the spring reading poll will be coming up next weekend.)
Talk about anything you like — the fragrance you’re wearing today, the perfume that makes you feel free as a bird, whatever.
Or, ask a question about fragrance, then see if anyone else has asked a question that you can answer…

Molinard's Habanita has its 100th birthday this year, and they're celebrating with this spiffy red bottle: "A perfume formula originating in 1921 and still in production and demand. It has of course been adapted to modern tastes and industry rules. It still features the materials and design that made it famous: a drop of French rose, a pinch of geranium, mixed with oakmoss and wrapped in smooth sandalwood. It’s an elegant sugar free rose perfume with musky, bitter woody background." On mark down now at Bloom in the UK, £73.10 for 75 ml Eau de Parfum.

The swapmeet (episode 18) is open for business! PLEASE read the instructions! (For those of you who refuse to read the instructions, please do not respond to anyone else’s comment except to say that their email address does not work. ANYTHING else you need to say, say it in an email. If you insist on responding to a comment, I will delete your comment. If you want to know how to swap for something, see #6 below!) For people who would like to chat in addition to, or instead of, swapping, there will be a poll along shortly.
Don’t know what swapping is, or you know but you’ve never tried it? See here. You can also take a look at the feedback from episode 3, episode 4, episode 5, episode 6 and episodes 7-8, episodes 9-10, episodes 11-17.
Please, do not participate if you do not have time to mail your items within the next three weeks! Hopefully, another swapmeet will be coming up in the fall…
