Tuesday scent of the day 12/7

Posted by Robin on 7 December 2021 184 Comments

It’s Tuesday and Willa Cather’s birthday. What fragrance are you wearing?

I am heading home from out of town today. Meanwhile I’m taking community project points for the fresh grasses in yesterday’s Luctor et Emergo, and then more points for the iris in today’s Imaginary Authors O, Unknown.

Reminder: on 12/10, for Emily Dickinson’s birthday, wear a fragrance with a note she mentioned in one of her poems…

It was the dustbag that really set people off

Posted by Robin on 7 December 2021 12 Comments

And so it went with the unboxing over eight more posts, in which Ms. Harmon revealed perfumes (good), key chains (not so much), lipstick and nail polish (mostly good, even if they were also mostly sample size), a mirror (not), a rope bracelet with a CC wax stamp (huh?), a plastic mini snow globe and … a Chanel dustbag, the bags used for shoes or other accessories. This limited edition, decorated by the famous Marseille-based illustrator, Stéphan Muntaner, proposes an up-to-the-minute reinterpretation of artisan crafts." Eaux de Toilette Gift Set, $37.50 at Panier des Sens.

Monday scent of the day 12/6

Posted by Robin on 6 December 2021 196 Comments

It’s Monday and Saint Nicholas Day, and in Canada, it’s the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. What fragrance are you wearing?

I am about to hit the road for a quick 2 day trip. Posting might be sparse until I am back on Wednesday, we’ll see how it goes. Meanwhile, I’m going with calm, in good old Luctor et Emergo from The People of the Labyrinths.

Reminder: on 12/10, for Emily Dickinson’s birthday, wear a fragrance with a note she mentioned in one of her poems…
