Byredo Mumbai Noise ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 11 October 2021 11 Comments

Niche line Byredo has launched Mumbai Noise, a new unisex fragrance.

An ode to Mumbai’s cultural heritage, Byredo’s rich and warm eau de parfum emits notes of leather, bitter coffee and sweet vanilla tonka bean. Designed to create a sensory experience, this heady aroma will remind you of stepping off a plane and exploring new cities.

Additional notes include davana, labdanum, agarwood and sandalwood.

Byredo Mumbai Noise is available now at Luckyscent, in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Harrods says 10/23, no idea if that applies in US.

Luckyscent has it (email in my inbox this a.m.), but of course you’ll pay for the sample. Not as fun as the counter at Nordies.

I want to try this. it might be wonderful. The first time I ever heard Roxy Music play Avalon was in India and the headiness of the scents, the sounds, the song have never left me.

That must have been magical, apsara — when I read that second sentence, I had a momentary vision of a figure walking through a crowd, with a light scarf over their head in the late day sun, with dust motes floating through the air, and that “Avalon” refrain.

The first couple Byredos I tried didn’t appeal to me, but I’m glad I gave them another chance because I did find a couple that I love. This sounds like something I’d like.
