Chloe Iris, Narcissus Poeticus & Ylang Cananga ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 14 September 2021 5 Comments

Chloé has added three new fragrances to the Atelier des Fleurs collection, bringing the total in the series to 15. Iris, Narcissus Poeticus and Ylang Cananga are all-natural and reportedly "crafted from responsibly grown flowers".

Iris (not shown) ~ "Whilst exploring the Atlas Mountains in Morocco, Steve Guo discovered Iris x germanica and its beautiful, complex scent. The unique plant is a sun worshipper that dots the mountain slopes and highlands with its blue-violet hue. Once gathered, its roots are dried for months in large jute bags, exuding soft, captivating emanations. Its memorable scent made such an impression on the perfumer that he wished to interpret it as the incomparable Iris perfume."

Narcissus Poeticus ~ "A fresh and slightly powdery perfume, Narcissus Poeticus captures a joyful memory of springtime delight. The narcissus is the first flower Philippine Courtière ever fell for in childhood, when she would stroll along the paths of the Jardin du Luxembourg with her grandmother and gather it in little bouquets. The delicate narcissus brings honey-scented notes to the perfume."

Ylang Cananga ~ "The Madagascan island of Nosy Be is home to spectacular fields of ylang-ylang that stretch as far as the eye can see. Serge de Oliveira remembers the scent particularly well. In a cheerful family atmosphere, flower gatherers pluck flowers by hand, one by one. They move so precisely, lithely and rhythmically that they almost appear to be dancing. Each one drops Ylang-ylang flowers into their basket, unleashing the incomparable fragrance that inspired the perfumer to create this sensuous, smooth, sunny perfume."

Chloé Iris, Narcissus Poeticus and Ylang Cananga are available in 50 and 150 ml Eau de Parfum.

I would like to smell this. Not easy crafting a fragrance with all naturals. This is a first from a large brand..

With Naturelle and then these 3, Chloe is definitely out in front.

I’d like to know what the unique iris smells like! I’ve never really loved a Chloe scent, though, so I probably won’t work too hard to find this.

I went to my local mall today and did my usual browsing and sniffing. They had just received this and let me spray from a tester. My first impression is good. Soft musky floral, not necessarily rose but more like a yellow floral bouquet.
