Yes, both lavender tea, and coffee sound wonderful!
I use either lavender water or oil. I prefer the oil because the aroma is stronger and more pleasant and relaxing while drinking coffee. I also use syrup, but not so often, sometimes, for ice cream in summertime.
Harney French Super Blue Lavender is very good. My mother, who is a tea drinker have several cups a week and she enjoys it a lot.
I love using the syrup in bubbly mineral water as a lavender soda pop. 🙂

My daughter wanted cheese puffs last time we were at the store and boy…did I enjoy them!!! ehaeheh I hadn’t had them in a while and probably the last time were the crunchy variety but these were regular puffs and salty/savory factor delivered. Bravo, Frito Lay…no affiliation to the brand or the cheetah. 😉

I have made teas, salads and green juices with dandelion leaves- very bitter, but in a mix with other greens it’s very bracing, and the tea is a diuretic.

One of my favorite patchouli Rose scents is Gucci No. 3. I get more patch/moss than rose but the rose peeks out by mid-day.

I really like Midnight Poison, even if it is a mite cleaner than I prefer. Still surprised this one didn’t do well. And the prices out commands second-hand are crazy!

Good morning all, my SOTD is Gucci No. 3, Pyramus inspired me to wear a patchouli/rose scent and it’s perfect for this morning’s cool weather. The opening is mostly patchouli/mosses, in about four hours, the rose will emerge.

Thanks! Gucci really created beautiful perfumes back in the day, L’ Arte di Gucci EdT is another gorgeous patch/rose. In EdP, it’s more of a floriental in the same vein as Coco and Fendi.

Still enjoying LAVS Unum I sprayed on yesterday. The penultimate incense perfume for me, when first applied I get a visual of the incense censer swinging with clouds of glorious fragrance billowing to the heavens. A little later today, I will enjoy DSH Rocky Mountain High which has a very convincing skunk note reminiscent of discovering someone smoking weed in the woods. A day of burnt offerings it would seem?

Had to drive my husband down to the bigger town south of us this morning, so I’m sitting in a local coffee place – just finished a big drip coffee and a cherry almond scone, listening to light jazzy bossa nova music. (These local scones are going to be the death of me.)
And, I’m chuckling at being in 35 degree weather instead of NYC 65.

Trying Vanilla by Theodoros Kalotinis today from a most generous NSTer…notes are caramel, vanilla and patchouli. Quite nice…sweet yet earthy.
My sister had an appointment w/ the surgeon yesterday and the cells taken from lesion on pancreas are precancerous and she is planning to have surgery. She has a follow up scan on Monday of chest, abdomen and pelvis and hopefully nothing else is found.??Grateful for this uplifting community and the joy that is perfume.♥️

Testing CdG Zagorsk today and wow is it good. It’s similar to CdG’s Hinoki, which I also really like, but with the addition of incense, which gives it another point in the hunt for my forest & juniper HG.
Last night I tried the Opardu from adanst’s split. This was my first ever blind buy of more than 2ml – I do not have nerves for blind buys that so many of you do! I shouldn’t have worried though because it is gorgeous. That burst of lilacs, then the white flowers, and the creamy dry down. It’s like an outrageously high end floral arrangement where every time you walk by, you notice a different aspect. Very happy I went in for 10ml instead of just 5.

Weed Day, huh. Well I’m off to pull more weeds of the non-exciting kind. Ok more like ‘cut manzanita’ than ‘pull weeds’. Outfit of the day is nothing like LTSG’s… mine is a ratty t-shirt, hiking pants, and wellies with ice crampons. What, doesn’t everyone wear crampons for weeding? Sigh. Yes, my hillside is hella steep.
Yesterday’s SOTE was my new Diorissimo (the EdT) which faded pretty darn fast. Of course the fast-fade sent me off to evilbay to look at vintage Diorissimo. I have a vintage mini (houndstooth bottle) but it’s a bit off.
I’m also curious about the recent(ish)(2009) EdP formula for Diorissimo. Has anyone sniffed it?

I’m not usually the type to complain that characters act stupid – most horror/thriller stories would be very short if everyone was smart – but this novel goes out of its way to keep reminding us that the protagonist loves horror movies, but she’s not at all suspicious that a rich, handsome stranger wants to marry her and take her to a secluded island with only men on it and no cell service? You’d think she’d be a little more savvy.

Sometimes perfume names are a bit much! LOL I usually spray 3 times for work, and today by the time I got here, I could barely smell a thing. Last night I got into bed with just 2 sprays of Shalimar Souffle Intense and felt like I could see the scent vapor in the air! 🙂
I’m in CDG Sugi today. I usually wear tiny amounts of this at bedtime so was surprised to discover that, despite its initial big pine-y blast, it has settled to a barely-there iris-and-something-saplike haze a couple of hours in. Not that that’s bad; just unexpected. The teensy mini of Sycomore arrived yesterday, so I may switch to that this afternoon.
I have bedtime scents, and it’s true, I only am spritzing them for the first 30-60 minutes. I don’t choose the ones with a big drydown, since I (hopefully) won’t be awake to notice them.
Did you try the Sycomore? If so, what did you think about it?
I tried just a dab or two and loved it. Trying to decide if it needs to be sprayed rather than dabbed – do you have a recommendation on that?
I’m in the same boat as you are. I’ve only tried Sycomore from a dabber sample. I haven’t had the luxury of a spray sample.
Woke up to fog that lifted later for a sunny day. SOTD is Aromatics Elixir, which works great in spring. Dhal and rice for dinner. And I bougt the first fresh asparagus for tomorrow’s dinner.

There was a 7×5 metal shed when I bought the house that has lasted 30+ years, so I bought another metal shed. I couldn’t find a 7×5 footprint, so the new one is 6×5. I bought it online.
We have been debating metal or plastic. Plastic is more economical, but ugly.
I was afraid rodents might chew through plastic. My neighbor keeps chickens and there are rats. My shed was only $300.

Smells like something you would wear. Sophisticated and pretty.
I tried Orris Tatoo for the first time a few days ago (also courtesy of a generous NSTer) and had a similar experience: I could smell violet, some mimosa and lots of fig. The fig was present the entire time (the perfume is very long lasting on skin, so the name Tatoo is appropriate). It’s very pretty indeed but I’m not sure I would have pegged it as an iris perfume.
As you can see, I’m also still learning iris ?
Fun! Interesting take, as I have long avoided fig as a note. I’ll have to investigate that one next ?.

Iris and violet seem to be used in combination often. Depending upon how buttery the iris is (and therefore, also called orris), violet supports it and also avoids the violet from becoming lipsticky. The violet I enjoy quite a bit is Olfactive Studio Violet Shot (heh, I liked it even more than Iris Shot)!
That’s a great explanation. The lipstick smell is a turn off for me. Now, I have another to try. Violet is a favorite note of mine, as well.

I did 3.25 miles so I am a happy camper!
Heavy snow today in NW Arkansas, as with many others. But the temps have been above freezing, so it’s now almost totally melted off. Hard freeze tonight. Had to go out and cover all my new tomato and cucumber plants. No SOTD yet. Weather like this calls for something cozy and ambery, maybe Le Lion de Chanel or Miss Dior le Parfum.
Can’t go wrong with either perfume.
Although that weather is all kinds of wrong!
What a whirlwind right now. Denver was great last week. Didn’t find a house, did narrow down which areas we will look in when we get out there. Back to work this week for a few days, in Alabama this weekend (seeing an elderly aunt I haven’t seen in over a year- yay we are both vaxed now!), then move next weekend.
Last week I wore Canturi and La Liturgie des Heures in Denver. Thunked the Canturi decant. Yesterday wore Brit Rhythm for Her- love love love that one. Today am in Cierge de Lune. I’ve been smelling great! 🙂

I’m getting a definite hairspray vibe from this one today. Not that it smells like hairspray per se, it’s more that the perfume’s notes recall the smell of my mother’s hair, and she used a lot of hairspray when I was a child. She has always had teased and back-combed fluffy hair.
Lots of LOL’s for Weed Day. 😀 I have a sample of Malin+Goetz Cannabis EdP. It smells like a woody cologne to me, nothing like the pot smoke that wafts from random backyards around my boringly pedestrian neighborhood. I used to find that smoke smell nauseating, but it’s not so bad now. I guess I’m getting used to it. I’ve never been a fan of smoky perfumes, maybe my nose will get there someday. Jasmin et Cigarette has to be popular for good reason. 😀
Thankfully, I never get smoke or ash from Jasmin et Cigarette! What I do smell is curing tobacco leaves, which are something entirely different.
Sotd is CSP Vanille Abricot. It’s making me hungry.
Vanille Banane does that to me sometimes!
This thread is making me crave baked goods and fresh asparagus. 🙂 Can’t wait to get out of quarantine! 3 more days. Wearing HG Shangri La.

Sotd was The Body Shop White Musk Smoky Rose. Perfect for a busy cool day. It feels like fall, but the snow is missing me, thank goodness. Sorry to the folks that got hit!
