The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 18 March 2021 9 Comments

UK only, but I can still wish, right? Lime Bounty body butter from Lush: "Dreamy lime and coconut cream. Use lavishly all over the body, treating low circulation spots like the thighs, hips and tops of the arms to a generous smattering and drift away on a little reverie of skincare goodness..." In 100 (£9) or 225g (£16) tubs.

I would basically put that in a tart shell and eat it!

That too. It’s Lush, probably wouldn’t kill you 😉

I couldn’t find this item for sale, seems it was in Lush’s product ‘voting’ subscription box and all the reviewers I read loved it. The lumps are apparently coconut oil. SO many from Lush’s inventory that I want to try, but they don’t offer samples (grrrrr) and I’m >300 miles from a stockist.

It’s for sale right now on Lush UK.

Just had to reply to your ‘I can still wish…’ remark, Robin – in 2019 on the last but one day of our visit to our friends in Oak Ridge North, Texas I was thinking what I still needed to get for the 3 friends I always give “I’ve been somewhere so this what I brought you back from my trip” gifts to – note that we have an unofficial but always try to stick to it policy of gifts like these costing around the GBP 5.00 mark! Since discovering the wonderful Buc-ee’s & Trader Joe’s, plus local farmers markets & small independent arty crafty & foodie places, I usually have a mix of foodie & ‘smellies’ things for them.
However, we were in the local HEB & I found small pots of a Tree Hut product (I’d never even heard of the brand) called Shea Sugar Scrub Moroccan Rose so I bought a couple but ended up just giving one away & keeping the other for myself – I use it once a week as a facial scrub &it’s absolutely gorgeous! So ‘I can still wish’ that either international travel will soon be OK & safe to do, or Tree Hut will expand to the UK – either way, I will be stocking up when the opportunity next presents itself, for friends & for me. Sorry to hear that Lime Bounty isn’t available except here in the UK – had always assumed that whatever Lush produced was available world-wide.

So interesting — I have never heard of Tree Hut! (Or HEB, unless I just can’t think of what that stands for)

Lush always has more in the UK than they do here. Sometimes things do show up here later, sometimes they don’t. Sometimes they show up here later and by then I’ve forgotten to look for them and they sell out before I remember 🙂

HEB is a Texas based supermarket chain – don’t believe they are anywhere other than Texas & northern Mexico, but they also have a business called Central Market, which appears to be to be something along the Whole Foods line. Tree Hut website says their products are available in 48 countries, but the UK doesn’t appear to be one of them!

I was a Lush fan before they were Lush – a small mail order (in the days when catalogues were sent to you!) company based on the south coast of England called Cosmetics To Go – they always put a couple of mini chocolate bars in your order!

Thanks! And probably I can buy Tree Hut near me and have just never noticed it.

You’re very welcome, Robin. I had not been aware of the Tree Hut brand before, despite scouring the ‘smellies’ shelves at every US shop I’ve ever been in! I don’t remember any other product from them in that HEB – the scrub was in a ‘travel size’ section with all sorts of different products & brands, but next Texas visit I will definitely seek out their range.
